Which explains why some figure (forget who) came with a copy of the NXT title and not the, um, NXT title that happens to be held only by women?
And you know what this means...time for Hervina to make a comeback!!!

Finally, Harvey Wippleman's brave quest for gender equality in pro wrestling is paying dividends.

Or you could just say mens world title and womens world title.

Or you could just say mens world title and womens world title. Still has the male and female distinction. As quoted Becky is saying she doesn’t want that so just calling it the title is fine

Or you could just say mens world title and womens world title. This all depends on the execution but...yeah, pretty much. Right now it feels like they’re thinking equality without really understanding the implications. And the only way this makes sense is if at the WrestleMania Takeover we get Rhea Ripley/Adam Cole in a unification match which...I’ll go on record saying it’s probably not the case.

Did nobody consider wikipedia’s and various title history websites feelings when making this decision?

As quoted Becky is saying she doesn’t want that so just calling it the title is fine But men and women have seperate divisions so I don't really see the issue. Plus, I thought the issue Becky was referencing was more about how the women's matches are announced as women's matches by the ring announcers. Dropping that makes sense, but the distinction for the championships is needed, especially since intergender matches for titles are almost certainly not happening.

It says they don’t the titles to have a gender specific designation We don’t call it the men’s ic title or the men’s universal title. It’s just the universal and IC title. Just simplify switch the name to something like that without making it sound stupid like galaxy champion or something and problem solved

So....the NXT Women's Championship is now the NXT Championship, but Adam Cole already holds the NXT Championship. And the (original) NXT Championship is still men-only and the new NXT Championship, formerly the NXT Women's Championship, is still women-only but you're not allowed to say that.
Sounds confusing.

This is just such a WHY?
Unless they plan to actually do away with seperate divisions all this does is just confuse people.

Just to be fair, the formerly male NXT Championship will now be known as NXT Title A & the formerly Women's NXT Title will now be known as NXT Title 1.
Or one of them gets called NXT Fighting Mongooses; that's a cool name.

Dope. Dig it. Break down the barriers. I mean, it’s not REALLY that confusing to me. There are two NXT Championships, one for men and one for women. This doesn’t suddenly mean we’re gonna get Adam Cole v Io Shirai or Rhea Ripley v Finn Balor or something, because those gender distinctions are still enforced despite the semantic change.

This is just such a WHY? Unless they plan to actually do away with seperate divisions all this does is just confuse people. It’s not doing away with the divisions it’s just a name change. In general, getting rid of the gender specific nature of it isn’t a bad idea. In the big world view, you have kids starting at young ages with identity crisis and they may gravitate to the now former Raw Women’s title. Calling it the women’s title is going to get you a funny look despite it not looking feminine really Now new name change and it flips the whole thing. It is still for the women’s division but a simple name change is all that’s done. As I said we don’t call the Men’s IC, US, Universal title etc. They are just the IC title, US title, Universal title. Change the Raw Women’s title name to something like Raw World Champion and there you go
