This is just a weird story, but apparently Matt Millen wants to trade for Trent Green now. Here is the story. www.fflivewire.com/Article.asp?ID=3242007zxr863xsAs a Lions fan..I must say it has always been a dream of mine to have two quarterbacks on my team with a combined age of 70. This really makes no sense at all. The moves they have made so far, and one still to come makes it appear that the Lions want to draft a QB now; then this weird story pops up. I dont know what their draft strategy is, but a story like this makes it more confusing for sure. I guess its just another case of that old Millen magic we have come to love and ridicule.

Did Millen sign some kind of Faustian deal to always be GM no matter what?

He's taking a real hard look at Ronnie Lott too.

Hopefully this means Brady Quinn falls to Miami (please God let this happen) I'm a Raiders fan, but I live in the Miami area so the Dolphins are my #2 team

Brady Quinn while undeniably talented has REALLY failed to impress me in big game situations.

Well apparently the Raiders have a major jones for Calvin Johnson now. Which could mean JeMarcus Russel could be there for the taking. But I hear these weird rumors about Denver wanting the Lions number 2 spot....and....well its gonna be a long long wait until draft day.

I hope the Raiders get Carr and draft Johnson because JaMarcus Russell has bust written all over him. Not to sound like a racist but I don't really like black QB's. None of them have ever impressed me

Well other than McNabb (and maybe Vince Young in the near future) I cant think of any of them that are worthy of being NFL starters.

Vick is a worthy starter.
He might not be as great as people think he is..but he is a starter.

I agree though. Vick, McNair, Culpepper.. most of the high profile black QBs aren't very good.

Culpepper was worthy of a starter as long as he had a guy like Moss.
Cunningham was also a damn good QB and really was able to evolve to play much latter than anyone could have imagined.
Just because only one black QB has won the Superbowl does not mean that there are no good black QBs.

Those poor brothers don't stand a chance against talent like that.

Here's how I see it
McNabb: above average QB, worthy of being NFL starter Young: OK rookie season, time will tell if he's the real deal Vick: horrible horrible horrible. Takes way too many sacks, innaccurate arm, fumbles too much, is a liability due to his tendency to run too much. also has problems off the field Brooks: Belongs in NFL Europe or the Arena league Leftwich: Below average starter McNair: Past his prime. No longer starting material. could be useful in backup role Culpepper: absolutely abysmal. Holds on the to the ball way too long, doesn't make very good decisions Garrard: a more moblie version of Leftwich but thats about all
JaMarcus Russell is Daunte Culpepper part deux. Makes questionable decisions on the field and has character issues off the field. That is why I dont want him on my team, and would prefer to pick up Carr and go after a game breaking reciever like Johnson
