Lots of news sites in Japan reporting that Pro Wrestling NOAH is now a wholly owned subsidiary of CyberAgent. This is pretty interesting for a lot of reasons--they own DDT (and thus TJPW), and are a very big/reliable company in Japan (they run AbemaTV, and are much bigger than Bushiroad, which has NJPW and now Stardom). Having DDT and NOAH under the same umbrella is pretty fascinating, but not too surprising since Marufuji appeared in DDT very recently. The caveat here is how much CyberAgent is really interested in investing into NOAH. There's no guarantee they push the hell out of it, but that gives a pretty strong connection between two very stacked rosters.
Outside of dream matches like Takeshita/Kaito etc, the most interesting question is if CyberAgent could somehow set up a streaming service for NOAH, who while on a hot streak lately, has largely been experimenting with live/archived YouTube shows. Obviously there's nothing really set in stone, but such stable backing like this could make things interesting.

Bushiroad and CyberAgent owning wrestling companies feels like the equivalent of what would happen if, say, Wizards of the Coast somehow brought Beyond Wrestling or something.
Like, even though we don't know much about it yet (or if it is) but it's one of those things that feels like it could only happen in Japan.

The likelihood of a streaming service definitely goes up, here, I'd have to think. If they can manage to put together a package where one can access NOAH, DDT, and TJPW that'd be absolutely outstanding, but I won't let my hopes get too high until we see what's up for sure.
Any reasonable speculation yet on how this might contrast with the ownership under the group that got NOAH back on its feet? They've had a good thing going, just have to hope the good vibes carry forward with some new faces at the top.

To be honest I’m not entirely sure how involved they were in creative (I thought it was mostly Nosawa/Maru) but I doubt they would go a different direction after getting the results they did with a newer focus.

There had been word that WWE approached NOAH for NXT Japan, and it seems pretty apt that two companies have been approached, and then shortly afterwards were purchased by owners of other prominent wrestling promotions. At this rate, WWE will be stuck with the sleaziest of indies to work with, unless there's truth to the relationships with Daisuke Sekimoto and Meiko Satomura.

WWE to wrestling promotions seems to be Disney to entertainment companies. Like how because Disney brought 20th Century FOX, CBS and Viacom decided to remerge, Hasbro brought eOne and Turner basically decided to bring more synergy to all their companies as a way to build up their defences. So WWE can finally compare themselves to Disney!

I'm surprised this guy's not the owner of CyberAgent like I previously thought:

Funny thing about this. CyberAgent is the majority owner of AbemaTV, an online streaming service. The other big owner with about 1/3 of the shares? TV Asahi, the TV station the broadcasts NJPW, is teaming up with NJPW for NJPW World and has a stake in NJPW as well.
So that may or may not be a thing with a possible NOAH streaming service kicking off, as apparently the reason why Stardom World can't be paired/joined with NJPW is that Stardom's TV network is TV Asahi's rival NTV... which so happens to also be the network NOAH has it's program. Since NOAH would have to create its own service from scratch I don't know if that will be a problem of some sort, but it's a situation to look into as well.

Jeez, that whole thing somehow made Manchester United seem competent in negotiations.

CyberAgent sounds like an antivirus software company.

Yeah, their pitch to Rossy Ogawa was “if you sell us Stardom we will put you in the HOF” as if it was a huge bargaining chip lol

CyberAgent has been quite hands off with DDT but at the same time has been an open book with them. One of the first things done when CyberAgent bought DDT was a wrestling match in the office building where if Danshoku Dino completed all of the wrestling challenges in the building he'd get to have his way with the president of the company.
Basically its likely they knew what they were buying with NOAH

I hope this will only do good things for NOAH.
Wonder if they will be as against doing business with NJPW as the previous administration. Granted, I don't think having Suzuki run roughshod over them is something that either party would need or want right now, obviously, but it'd be nice to see a little bit less of a hard "no" there than there has been.

AwamoriRock will probably have more about this but from the brief bits I've seen around, Sanshiro Takagi will serve as new president of NOAH, having the same role as he has for DDT but predominantly being backstage. Marafuji will serve as Vice President. Tomorrow's KH show will air live on DDT Universe with AbemaTV starting to air NOAH from February's Karakuen Hall show. Along with that, DDT and NOAH will run back to back shows at Ryogoku Sumo Hall on November 21st/22nd

Cyberagent sounds like it could be the name of a snes or mega drive game but not a good one.
