Wow, this is some insane news from the business side of things. This is way bigger than Heyman and Bischoff returning last year. Damn.

Between this and the house show cut the Q4 results are going to be appointment viewing.

I've seen elsewhere that they were lifers and the defacto leaders of the corporate side and responsible for the TV deal, the Network, etc I have no idea how much of that is true, but it definitely is a shakeup. I have a feeling the Network is going to be a big part of this story. If I'm not mistaken, Wilson was a big advocate for the Network, and given it's continued, uh, disappointment, including now losing subscribers year-over-year, she seems like an obvious scapegoat. This makes me feel bad for needing to cancel it over financial reasons. I really enjoyed it, but it was becoming too much.

This is all about there stock. It's in the toilet over the last year, high of 100.45, right now after hours it's at 51.60. so within a year, with the fox/USA/ suadi deals, they've fallen that hard. Someone has to be the fall person. When they have a terrible q4 report they can be like, "hey we are aware and are making changes"

Bear in mind these two were appointed back when WWE had just signed the Saudi deal (likely the Fox deal as well) and were raking in money hand over fist, four straight years of record revenue up that point. Since then, they've been reporting losses on an almost quarterly basis.
It may be a scapegoat, but the company wasn't exactly doing bad finance-wise before them, and sure as hell didn't grow much with them there. Vince may still be a creative nightmare, but that's definitely a regular business move.

Well, this is definitely unexpected. Like others said, I’m very interested to see the Q4 report

Barrios and Wilson were essentially in charge of the "business" end of WWE, weren't they? Huge news.

They were in position long before that, they just got additional titles back in 2018.

They played pretty significant roles in their major financial decisions of the last few years, the Network and new TV deals in particular.

There must be something fishy in the air, aside from probably terrible Q4 results.
You don't fire your two most important EVP just for bad financial results. Reading the press release, it seems like Barrios and Wilson had very different views against VKM on how business should be run.

Both likely got golden parachutes worth millions and weren't exactly living paycheck to paycheck.

And I’d just ordered the new George Barrios shirt. Next week, we'll see their brand new Co-Presidente: Jorge Barrios.
