Something that just popped up in my head. Has there ever been a situation where a wrestler fights with another wrestler backstage, and they just end up crashing into a place where there's one or more other wrestlers just hanging around, and during the brawl the outsider wrestlers get caught up in the fight and join in? And additionally, the end result is that there's a new feud that happens due to that, between the wrestler who started the fight and the one who got caught up in the brawl?

Pretty sure that happened on NXT where a brawl ran into Imperium who joined in, which kinda kickstarted their involvement in the us nxt show.

It’s had to have happened but I don’t recall anything. You’d think this would happen when APA was around in their “office”.

Wrestlemania IX I think? Like Luger and Perfect brawl to the back (well, to the parking lot that Wrestlemania IX took place in), and they stumble across Shawn Michaels. Shawn jumps in to help Luger and afterwards Shawn and Perfect start feuding.

Offhand there was a Kane / Orton falls count anywhere match where they crashed into catering and Ryder attacked Kane.

I think it was Uncensored '96, Sting and Booker T vs. The Road Warriors in a street fight. The match goes backstage and Animal runs into Lex Luger, causing Luger to flip out and attack Animal, eventually costing the Warriors the match.

Luger was just standing there posing in the mirror too. Didn’t get involved until he got bumped into 😂

Randy Savage "no showed" a Saturday Night match against Roadblock once. Rather than accept the forefit win, Roadblock went backstage and grabbed one of many preliminary standby wrestlers who were just sitting around. He dragged the guy to the ring and squashed him.

Tories and Ivory had a hardcore match that led to the Men's locker room and had some wrestlers playing poker, and Jacqueline in the Women's shower later on in that match.

Didn't something like this happen at TLC where Corbin and Reigns were brawling in the back after their match, and it resulted in there being a mass of bodies to catch a Spear from the bleachers to the floor?

I think someone got thrown into Maryse at the makeup table once so she joined in That was a Falls Count Anywhere Match between Natalya & Nikki Bella. Because then Nikki and Maryse started feuding, leading to the mixed tag at Mania with Cena & Nikki VS Miz & Maryse.

Not backstage, but Lucha Underground had one episode where a fight started ringside and more people kept showing up 'til a pretty large chunk of the roster was involved in some fashion.
We never learned what kind of beef Vinnie Massaro had with Joey Ryan. Perhaps Joey dishonored a donut or something.

It could be a wave of the Mandela Effect washing thru my mind as I read this right now, but yeah I'm certain this has happened before (classic WWF wise, for my vague recollection at least). Can't provide an example but it sounds awfully familiar. The only one I can think off the top of my head is sadly not a backstage example - when Y2J returned at the end of 2007, he and Orton had a match, Jericho crashed into JBL at the commentator's table, and JBL attacked him leading to their feud (which ended JBL's good run on commentary) over the next few weeks.

I think someone got thrown into Maryse at the makeup table once so she joined in Yeah, Natalya and Nikki Bella were doing a Falls Count Anywhere match that was surprisingly quite good for what it was, and that kickstarted the Maryse vs Nikki feud. Nattie got put over big in the match. Even if she won after Maryse hit Nikki, it was still kind of surprising to see her kicking out of stuff like a moonsault on the outside, a mirror broken over her head, etc.

Probably not exactly what you're looking for, but Kane and Jericho started feuding in late 2000 because Jericho accidentally spilled coffee on Kane in a backstage segment. Prior to this Kane was a babyface, but the emotional scarring of being burned again was enough to turn him heel. Or some such nonsense like that.
