TBH I'd be surprised if we ever saw Barbara as Oracle again outside of existing legacy stuff.

I want to be Bat Boy. It’s about time his story escape the pahes of the Weekly World News.

First I heard of this was like Mid January... with this TBH I'd be surprised if we ever saw Barbara as Oracle again outside of existing legacy stuff. Yeah... I don't see them recrippling her. In some, possible future I could see it when she's older like Batman Beyond Bruce or just retired from field work in general

And yeah, I think if they ever want to introduce Oracle, it'd be better to make her an entirely new character separate from Barbara. Mostly because I'm just done with The Killing Joke and its adaptations.

While there were many examples that pre-date her, Oracle basically inspired an entire generation of "Guys in the Chair" in these kinds of fiction. Chloe Sullivan, Felicity Smoak, Wade Load, Player on Carmen Sandiego, hell Bruce Wayne himself was this on Batman Beyond. Ned Leeds even joked about wanting to be this in Spider-Man: Homecoming. None of them were in wheelchairs.

So is there like, no chance she's playing Nebula again or something?
Why would she leave this solid role in the MCU in favour of a poorly built ship that is in serious threat of sinking if these repairmen don't do a great job welding those patches on.

There's no real reason to believe that starring in a DC movie means Marvel movies become off-limits and vice versa. James Gunn is directing Suicide Squad 2 and Taika Waititi is starring in it, and both have Marvel movies in their schedule after it.

My point afterwards was that when she retires as Batgirl I could see her be Oracle without the crippling. That said originally Gail wrote an episode of JLU that had Barbara as Oracle after she broke her leg... (the Bat-bargo killed that off... still came out to a pretty great episode with Huntress/Question Canary/Arrow )

It seems like appropriate casting. Capable, great look, somewhat of name value. Though I do wonder how they’d go about a solo Batgirl movie.

Babs Gordon Oracle I feel needs some medical reason to keep her out of the field, otherwise it makes no sense. They only way I see Barbara giving up the Batgirl mantle is if she’s physically incapable of doing it anymore or if she were to get into legal law enforcement or the legal system and didn’t want to jeopardise her work there and even that’s a stretch. There’s no way I can believe a physically capable Barbara Gordon being content to sit back in the Oracle role while everyone is out on patrol. She doesn’t need to be wheel chair bound or anything, but I just can’t buy a physically capable Babs giving up the mantle Now, if they want to use the code name for someone else, then absolutely they don’t need to be physically impaired.

Adewale and Levi's characters died prior to them taking on DC roles, and as such probably won't get the chance to reprise those roles, hence why I didn't include them. Same for Michael Rooker, who's also in Suicide Squad 2. Sean Gunn's also in Suicide Squad 2, and he's obviously going back for Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and any other movie that requires Rocket mocap.

We all can agree that in the eventual Batgirl movie the main villain needs to be Killer Moth.

You can quote me on this if it doesn't happen but Michael Rooker will be in Guardians 3, he will be in a flashback scene of some sort, he like Gregg Henry as been in every film since Slither, he probably sees them as good luck charms
