We're back at Full Sail once again, as NXT brings DOUBLE STEEL! As ever, please read the forum discussion rules for this show and AEW Dynamite on the WWE section of the board.
Tonight's episode is highlighted by two of NXT's top rivalries hopefully being settled inside a steel cage. First up, a rivalry that started inside a shark cage, as Tegan Nox and Dakota Kai have the rubber match in their feud. While Nox got the first win by using her knee brace on Kai, King Kota responded at Takeover: Portland by utilising the giant Raquel Gonzalez to even the series. The cage is designed to keep Gonzalez out, but Tegan can't just assume that she won't find a way to interfere. Who will finally win the Team Kick Civil War?
The other steel cage match pits Roderick Strong against the Velveteen Dream. Strong scored the first blow of the rivalry by taking the North American Championship from Dream, and then alongside the Undisputed ERA, put Dream on the shelf for several months. Dream returned and played mind games by making advances on Strong's wife Marina Shafir, then defeated him a few weeks ago, only for the Undisputed ERA to gang attack him again. Like Tegan Nox, Dream can't assume that Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly will stay out, so he needs to be on top of his game against the Messiah of the Backbreaker!
Late last night, NXT GM William Regal announced a match that might help Dream out, as Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly will be preoccupied with a match against Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan. Seething to get their Tag Team Titles back from the Broserweights, will Fish and O'Reilly get back on track, or will they fall further behind?
Finn B谩lor was proven right last week as the business is indeed watching him... or at least WALTER is, as the NXT UK Champion sent his Imperium cronies Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel to attack the PRINXE. Why has WALTER suddenly started having an issue with B谩lor? Maybe because the next NXT UK Takeover happens to be in Dublin? Who knows, maybe we'll get more answers tonight.
Tommaso Ciampa got past Austin Theory last week, but was then attacked by Johnny Gargano, as the Neverending Story never ends. How will Ciampa respond to the attack tonight? And will Gargano have anything to say about it?
All this and much more tonight from 8/7c on USA in the States and BT Sport in the UK and Ireland!
