Ok I’m guessing this continues until the Inner Circle gets decimated in War Games later this month? Blood & Guts seems like the perfect way to write Jericho off before Fozzy tour.

So... no Lance Archer this week? Weird that they advertised him at all then, but oh well Haven't watched the show yet, but really I think that they need to kind be weary of debuting too many people to soon. Sometimes having too many debuts like that leads to a WCW/TNA type environment where half of the reason people tune in is just to see people show up. Yeah, it's exciting but it isn't any way to plan for long term success.

Self-hot-tag spot was pretty baller, they should do that spot everytime a babyface has a 2-on-1 handicap

Yeah, it's exciting but it isn't any way to plan for long term success. I think that's smart. We're conditioned to see big debuts as like the peak excitement while AEW has shown they won't let a shock debut disrupt a storyline they're in the middle of.

Archer was advertised to appear a week in advance, unlike Matt Hardy (still not official) and Brodie Lee (still rumored), so his absence was more than a bit conspicuous.

It's most likely that Lance Archer's involvement was just the Jake Roberts promo, but even so... AEW is both smart and confident in their ability. They HAVE some heavy guns they can unleash but also know they don't need to in order to have a damn good show coming off a PPV when it counts.

Going into Jakes promo my mindset went to someone other than Archer, since he was advertised as debuting this week.

I can readily envision Jake being either Archer's or Brodie's manager: Brodie's not a big talker, so Jake being his mouthpiece makes a ton of sense, but Archer's a rambling psychopath, so having cool, calm, and collected Jake talking alongside him works well, too.

I immediately went to Brodie. But again that was only because Archer was supposedly debuting tonight

Last post in this thread.
That main event was awesome, I just hope it doesn't bite 'em in the butt in the ratings not having Moxley there earlier. Darby's dive to Judas Effect was beautiful!
I'm interested in how many guys there will be in the Blood n' Guts match. Moxley must be there too. 6 vs. 6 would be great: MJF & Inner Circle vs. The (whole) Elite & Moxley, I don't know. ' will see in upcoming weeks...
