AEW Dynamite is live tonight from Broomfield, Colorado, which is about half an hour north of Denver, as the Moxley era of AEW begins. As ever, the forum discussion rules for this show and NXT are available to read on the AEW section of the board.
There's only one confirmed match on tonight's show, and it covers two bases. Last Saturday at Revolution, Jon Moxley defeated Chris Jericho to become the new and only second ever AEW World Champion. Tonight, the new Le Champion (though he definitely won't be calling himself that) will do battle with Jericho once again, this time in tag team action, as Mox teams with Darby Allin to take on Jericho and his Inner Circle cohort Sammy Guevara. Allin got revenge for Guevara crushing his throat with a skateboard by defeating the Spanish God at Revolution, and Allin will want to further prove his worth in this match. Will further damage be done to the Inner Circle?
Somehow we get the sense that MJF will be doing a lot of bragging tonight. At Revolution, Friedman used his Dynamite Dozen Diamond Ring to knock out Cody and his hideous neck tattoo and get the win. Considering the torture Cody had to go through just to get that match, imagine the obstacles MJF will throw his way in order to get a rematch? One would think MJF will have Jon Moxley in his sights next.
All is still not rosy within The Elite. After the instant classic for the AEW World Tag Team Titles, we're still no closer to integrating Hangman Page back with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. In fact, Page briefly thought about laying out Omega with the Buckshot Lariat, and no doubt Omega will have since seen Page's intentions. Will the Elite further disintegrate tonight?
SCU gained a new ally in their war with the Dark Order in the form of Colt Cabana, who claims that Evil Uno and his unnamed spokesperson are lying about there being an "Exalted One". There's still suspicions about Christopher Daniels' involvement in this whole situation, will we get any closer to the truth tonight?
A rivalry has been brewing in recent weeks on Dark between Jimmy Havoc and Japanese Death Match Legend Luther, with the two often involved in backstage brawls. Based on a video shown on the Road to Denver stream on YouTube, it appears Havoc wants to settle the issues tonight, so will we see this war take place in Denver?
It's back to the alien drawing board for Kris Statlander, as she wasn't able to figure out Nyla Rose at Revolution. So who will step up to the Native Beast as the next challenger for the AEW Women's World Championship? Hikaru Shida got a big win last week on Dynamite, is she next in line?
All this and much more tonight from 8/7c on TNT in the States, TSN in Canada and FITE TV worldwide!
