In honor of Snake Roberts hitting Cody with a killer closing line last night, let's take some time to celebrate some of the coolest lines in promos that made you say "....godDAMN!!!"
"That's right, reach out for me. I'm a snake. Never trust a snake."-The line that kicked off Jake's amazing 1991 heel run. It was amazing that he was standing right next to the Undertaker, who had just tried to straight-up murder the Warrior...and Jake was the one you realized you had to fear the most.
"Look at me when I'm talking to you!"- You've got the Hulkster, holding the WWF Title for several years, never backs down, a superhero come to life...and Andre treats him like a puny child, cupping his chin so he can see the fear in Hogan's eyes. Very simple but very effective in selling the heel turn.
"I punched him...and I punched him...and I punched him again. I broke your nose, Tommy....just like Vader did to me. You see, everything bad that's happened to me...(smiles)is going to happen to you."- A really chilling delivery from Foley sold this as the most cruel threat in the world. Even in 1995, Foley's injuries were mind-boggling...and now he was promising to inflict them one by one on Dreamer.

"You may be the Devil's Favourite Demon, but I built the Devil's house brick by fiery brick, and when I come calling, the Devil still calls me 'Sir'."

Well, well. The Million Dollar Man, Ted DiBiase. Here we are at WrestleMania, and it's the biggest match of your career. Why? Because everything you stand for is on the line, mainly, the Million Dollar Belt. Oh yeah, you see it can be yours once again. All you have to do is go through Damien, and me. But you see, Damien and I don't forget, we remember all the times you made people grovel for your money. These were people far less fortunate than you, people who could use your money for essentials, and what did you do? You made fun of them. You humbled them and you humiliated them. Well, now it's my turn. I'm going to make you beg, DiBiase, you are going to get down on your hands and knees. This time, you'll be the one that's humbled. This time, you'll be the one that's humiliated, and this time, you will be the one that grovels for the money. And how appropriate, that the money you grovel for is your very own. A victim of your own greed, wallowing in the muck of avarice.

“I could cultivate her into something that even I could want!” That one doesn't particularly strike me as "badass"

"Let me tell you something, Ric Flair. You look me in the eye, 'cause I am looking at you. You realize you must live, not in the future, because there is none, you must live in the past. Give up that belt, or else stick your neck out one more time for me. Stick it out for me, Ric flair, you gutless individual! I'm talking to you! Stick it out! STICK IT OUT!"

An underrated one, I think. Probably because it's wasted on Coachman.

"It's been said the hatred for Bill Watts has been taken out on his son, Erik I would hate you if your last name was Hayes!"-Michael Hayes. I'm sure no one remembers it since it was a promo on freaking Erik Watts for a forgettable Clash of the Champions match from 1992 but that always stuck with me as just being a really clever and bad ass line.

"When you come at the king you best not miss" -CM Punk Actually it was Omar. Technically it was a line written by David Simon for the actor Michael K Williams who played the character Omar Little to say.

Thus was the turning point for me into loving The Dark Order
