First thing I thought of was Nintendo While not technically action figures, could we say Nintendo have kinda tapped into the figure market with the amiibos? there are a few nintendo action figures as well. www.amazon.com/slp/zelda-figures/6pqsa8jnedvq6c5

I thought the monster designs in the Doom games (particularly the first two games) were pretty cool.
Did they ever release a line for that?

My first thoughts would be Harry Potter and Witcher. Doing a bit of research it looks like there has been a couple of small lines of Harry Potter action figures, but nothing other than collector stuff. Harry Potter is one of those things where there’s been huge gaps in monetizing it, really. Like I don’t know how there hasn’t been an official tabletop RPG. People would kill for that.
RWBY and Tekken also come to mind.

Witcher has a toyline as well... though I think it's only of the main characters. Not to mention statues, and other collectibles.

I created prototypes for Fifty Shades action figures but they were rejected. They said something about being "sick" and "depraved"

Honestly, when Brawl came out, they could have done a series of figures based on the fighters AND characters from Subspace Emissary. Snake and Sonic were the only third parties then so it may not have been as much of a licensing nightmare as it would be nowadays, and with all the enemies of Subspace you could have plenty of figures to choose from.

I want to say 007. I know there was a short-lived line for James Bond Jr., but I don't think any company ever went all-in on the license. In the 80's, a line like that could have done really well. Tons of gimmicky villains, secret spy action accessories, vehicles with hidden features, etc. EON wants too much for the rights , also Craig refuses using his likeness. Not a big market for this except die hard fans

There've been a good number of Bond figures over the years, but almost always in micro-lines of 1-4 figures at most. There's a very large cast by now that could give way to a good run of figures without scraping the bottom of the barrel. The different Bonds, the "Bond girls", Dr. No, Goldfinger, Oddjob, Jaws, etc. Yeah, that's a good one. World political, social and cultural figures. Could do a contemporary line and also historic people. The historic people one actually exists. They aren't great.

It's a shame Steven Universe ended, and Steven Universe Future is ending, without any kind of proper action figures. We got dolls and Funkos, but they just kind of pissed away doing any figures with them. Wonder if Adventure Time and Regular Show ones didn't do as well as they hoped, or CN misread their audience, because plenty of people wanted it.

CN seems to be pretty bad at toys in general... even when they were talking about canceling things due to not being able to make toys of them

Looney Tunes certainly has a deep enough cast of characters, but I'm not sure how well it'd work as a full line of articulated figures. Scale would be an issue, and numerous LTs don't really lend themselves to the POA format very well. much as I dig NECA and their Godzilla line, there's a large section of Godzilla lore they just are not making. I would dig stuff like the fairy twins, jet jaguar, would also love a Raymond Burr fig in the line too! A "Humans of Godzillaverse" line would be interesting. Serizawa (with Oxygen Destroyer accessory) from the original would be a good pick. Namikawa in her Planet X gear from Astro-Monster? Or the Planet X leader himself. Maybe even include the crew of the ship from the Hanna-Barbara cartoon. Trendmasters had an erratic line of Godzilla figures back when. Had about twenty different scales and some of the scales were deep enough to include Biolante and MOGERA. Of course, there's the classic Bandai line which has done (almost) every Toho monster (I think there's maybe still a few missing, and these are expensive as hell anyway). There's a current line in stores now too, from Playmates(?) I think, and they're going deep with stuff like King Seesar, but they also look like cheaper versions of the Bandai figures. Would love to see NECA do more of the Tohoverse than just different variations of Godzilla himself.

Would love to see NECA do more of the Tohoverse than just different variations of Godzilla himself. The maker of Monster Island Buddies tries to use exclusively Bandai toys for the characters... but sometimes he can’t get them from that range.. so he will have to mix things up .. like when Varan was introduced he was like three times the size of the Bandai range cause it was the only Varan toy he could find at the time. I wish Neca would release more monsters from the Toho movies. They only really release variations of Godzilla’s from different films and eras.. the only other monsters I have seen is Rodan and Mothra from last years King of the Monsters. But not Ghidorah (cause they say he would be too big and expensive to produce)

McFarlane is making Doom Guy and marauder toys but they aren’t very good. However, while they’re not action figures, gaming heads makes a really cool doom guy toy based on the collectible toys you find in Doom 2016. www.gamingheads.com/doomguy-collectible.html

actually one topic of discussion in the Funko thread a while ago, i will say The Beatles! There is a I Love NY John fig, and the other figs are all based on Yellow Submarine. I want different eras! Ed Sullivan Show beatle pops would be a day 1 pre order! I know that back in the glory days of the band there was tons of merch and toys but still! We have Yellow Submarine or the cartoon series to represent this band now.
