When finn first went back to nxt, it felt like it would be a good move for him. Get back to where he was on top, provide star power against aew, and get fresh matchups where he was stagnant on raw. His heel turn seemed like another way to get a fresh start.
Now it just seems he is forgotten about. Heel adam Cole still champion. No faction that was hinted about a while back. He just feels like he is there spinning his wheels. Am I wrong? A demon vs fiend match at mania would have been so much better than current booking. A heel vs heel match against adam cole at mania should have been booked.
Will he wait out his contract and jump to aew or japan or will things turn around?

Finn was never going to get another chance to really shine on the main roster. Seth injured him in his big breakout match, so clearly that was Finn's fault that Seth continued using the buckle bomb that was hurting people and thus Finn needed to never be given another real shot again.

Have a strong feeling he's just riding out his contract at this point. AEW, New Japan, anywhere else frankly, will value his star power and he doesn't just have to be shackled to being "The Demon" or watered down versions of himself.

It depends on what the game is. He's one of those guys who looked to be a big Triple H project, it's just that obviously Vince has not approached actually stepping down at all so there's now a roster packed full of Hunter Guys waiting for the right time to begin getting pushed. Finn was one of the first clear examples of a major signing brought in under that feeling, and now he's coming up on six years of waiting, and I can't say I'd blame him for getting sick of it.

Its best he leaves, WWE have no intrest in making him a star. He would be amazing for AEW

I think he's being positioned to be the guy who beats the guy who beats Cole at this point. he's not taken any losses of note other than the title match with the Gargano distraction/interference so it's not like he's dropping down the card any. or maybe he's going to be the face of NXT-UK and beat WALTER for the title up there since -for obvious reasons- that's one belt he's yet to hold in the wwe.

I think the idea is that he would beat WALTER for the UK title at the Dublin Takeover. Who knows when that will actually happen? I figured he would hang around NXT long enough to get a fresh coat of paint and would head back to the main roster, but at this point I have no idea.

Heel Balor? Awesome.
Now that he's a face again? No thanks. I don't care if he's a little cockier... Man needs that heel edge.
I said it at the time but there was absolutely no reason for them to turn Gargano heel after losing to Balor that night.
The feud should've continued.
Balor reminds me of Jigsaw in The Punisher. He's that good looking charming guy that can be downright evil at times. Gargano was the perfect protagonist for that.
Having said that, Balor vs WALTER should be a great match and him winning the UK title in Dublin will be an iconic moment. Too bad the UK roster is devoid of any personality so it will essentially not matter one bit. If anything it is a demotion for him to be sent down there.

I really dont remember who said this, but basically once injured it is very likely Vince will give up on you.I think Finn might be the biggest example of that

I was so glad they gave him a perfectly fine match up against Lesnar, that's a lot more than guys like Ricochet get. NXT is a cool brand, he's perfect fit there. Maybe in couple years WWE smartens up and demon strikes back.

Balor, Wyatt, and Ambrose were my three guys in WWE. Yet all of them got such start and stop pushes or booked like idiots. It was hard to care about them.
They should have turned Finn a year or two ago and paired him with Styles and the Club.
Yeah NXT Finn is fine but like 90 percent of the roster he’s not being used to his full potential or strengths.

I've been saying this for months - Fergal Devitt wants out of WWE. He's getting out, and there is absolutely nothing that Triple H can do to stop him. In fact, I don't think Trips blames him one bit for wanting out.
Trips and Steph have been doing everything in their power to sell the world on Finn - as competitor, as PR guy, as corporate citizen: and it has worked a charm with _everyone_: everyone, it is, except the one man in the actual position to give Finn the nod. There's no question that Finn has "IT"; Vince's decision to not push Finn as a champion, after Finn sacrificed for WWE, to me is an offense against the fans, against pro wrestling itself and against the networks with whom Vince signed those deals. That decision will cost Vince and WWE _dearly_.
As for what he's doing in NXT these days, my answer is: he's just punching the clock. COVID-19 is already throwing the program with WALTER into limbo and, if WWE wants to avoid any further bad press, the delays caused by the pandemic should _not_ cause any extensions to contracts. I think Finn is on a Sting-type schedule at this point and has fulfilled all his obligated dates. If he's still in WWE by Summerslam, he has either been given a huge incentive to stay or is strictly on downside.

I have to wonder what the plan is with him.
If he does opt to leave, I wonder if he'd go back to NJPW. Figure if he did, it'd be as a heavyweight, and probably with a hefty pay increase.

Better used than he was on the main roster by miles.
But just how NXT is by default (tv or not it is still treated below Raw and Smackdown) he's under utilized.
I wouldn't be surprised if we see him AEW or back in Japan by the time his contract expires... UNLESS he gets an insane offer... and even then he might be a guy like Moxbrose who has his money and is now enjoying himself wrestling elsewhere... or maybe if Vince finally steps down... since he is pretty much like the first of Hunter's Guys.

Better off, especially if he's happier which I imagine he is. He seems to get to play a character he likes, so I imagine he's nice and happy.

Reading between the lines from some things he's said in interviews, I get the feeling that he was dealing with some burnout before his hiatus. Being in NXT gives him the chance to work a limited schedule and work with people he chooses to as opposed to working a full schedule as JTTS.

Don't know how the man himself feels, but he seems better off to me. He's a big part of a significantly better product and it's not like his value has taken any kind of hit. If/when he leaves he'll be a major player wherever he goes.
