An obvious episode is on Steve Austin and the wife beating.

I wonder if the ECW Corrluzo double cross will be an episode. One on Corluzzo is interesting

I still don't really think that Hogan would get one just on racism and backstage politics alone. Especially not a 2-Parter.

Just found out that Chris Jericho is the narrator for this season. Might check it out soon! I think I've seen The Moolah and Von Erich episodes from the first season. Sometimes he sounds REALLY bored... or Drunk... or both... I think he only agreed so he could talk about Owen and maybe Benoit...

I'd probably need couple shots of bubbly too if I had to give monologues to television from such "dark" subjects.

Have to agree that the big one that probably needs to be made now is Dynamite Kid. What a dark, twisted tale and tragedy.

Watch the episode on Gino Hernandez. That guy had superstar potential. He could have been a huge asset to NWA/WCW or WWE if he had left the World Class territory. Just a sad end to a great wrestler.

Could say that about a lot of guys from World Class As a guy who knew next to nothing about Gino before that episode, dude exuded star potential. I think a lot of WCCW guys hit their ceiling there, but I think Gino would have done very well for himself beyond it if he didn't have such a massive drug problem.

I'm beginning to wonder if there's going to be a third season of "Dark Side of the Ring."
Vice on TV has seen a massive decline in ratings and departure in viewership in recent years, Vice Media just had to undergo massive layoffs, the pandemic will make filming difficult in the weeks and months ahead, and part of me wonders if they've told all the stories they're going to want to tell.
We have 18 pages of potential future episodes in this thread, but we're wrestling fans. How many of these stories would translate to a curious national audience? "Dark Side of the Ring" has already covered the two biggest wrestling stories in history - Chris Benoit's murder-suicide and the death of Owen Hart - and I wonder if season two was the show's way of saying farewell without actually saying it.

Yakuza involvement in the Japanese wrestling scene A good subject but you'll never see it. Anyone who can talk on the topic never will.

Vader talked a bit about it in some of his shoots and Foley alluded to it in his books, but you’re likely correct. would definitely be interesting though tracing them from the Rikidozan days to modern era.

Didn't the Owen episode give them their best numbers ever? It did, but I believe those numbers were indicative of the episode itself. That’s why I think it’s no coincidence that the three highest-rated episodes were Owen Hart and parts one and two on Chris Benoit, which pulled a 0.34 and 0.32 respectively. I’m not saying I want the show to go away, I watch it every Tuesday night and am endlessly fascinated by it, I’m just saying I wouldn’t be shocked if it didn’t return for a third season for the reasons I pointed out earlier. The only wrestling news that garnered anything close to as much attention as Benoit or Owen were the steroid trials, but even that pales in comparison to how huge those two stories were.

Would Nailz be enough for an episode? Could reenact the attack on Vince, sexual assault claims, steroid trial....
Racist characters through the years like Harris twins with nazi symbols, neidhart with klan hood hanging Virgil
Homophobic characters through the years from gorgeous george to exotic adrian Street to adonis to goldust and Orlando Jordan
Hulk hogans issues ranging from divorce and nicks car crash to suicidal concerns to sex tape to n word and returning to wwe
Vince mcmahon taking over territories in the 80s. Threats from other promoters to pay talent to go into business for themselves and bring title to their promotion, harley race threats in that era, etc.

Some topics I'd like to see for future episodes:
Muhammad Hassan Heroes Of Wrestling Chris Candido and Tammy Sytch Chyna Ashley Massaro The Steroid Trial XPW Marty Jannetty Yokozuna The British Bulldogs
Also, they could do a special spin-off season just for WCW.

Listening to them speak with Conrad, it sounds like they don’t really want a 3rd season. Seems like they’d be fine if that was that.
