Damn. Joe Diffie’s music was a big part of my childhood. What a bummer.

I hate this. I loved this glorious weirdo.
I love Pickup Man. What a great tune.

Yeah, he was a staple of 90s country radio. And those hits were so damn catchy. I’m gonna go listen to John Deere Green. RIP

My dad only played country music radio when I was growing up, so I was very familiar with Joe. Rest in peace, what a damn shame. I LOVED singing along with this one as a kid:

Loved this guy when I was a kid. My grandfather had his album (whichever one was so big at the time) and I would hear it constantly. John Deere Green is a stone-cold classic.

I LOVED singing along with this one as a kid: That entire album was great. Had Pickup Man on there as well. Most of his work was fun, but then he'd occasionally give ya a Ships That Don't Come In

I LOVED singing along with this one as a kid: Same, my mom was and still is a diehard country music fan, so I grew up listening to Joe. That song's a freaking classic. RIP.

My dad liked some of his songs, so that's how I'm familiar with him. RIP to him, his suffering is over.

The underrated I'm gonna find me a new way to light up an old flame was fantastic. Also, the classics of John Deere Green and Pickup Man were fantastic. I was a country kid as well. Heck, The Nashville Network was a staple at our household and was a pleasure to see Joe Diffie on Nashville Now or Prime Time Country.
