Like, all they ever cared about was attacking referees, and beating up referees, and the only thing they care about is making life hell for referees?
Forget fighting wrestlers; they got into the industry to beat up refs.
How come nobody has done this?

... why?
I mean, I presume a wrestler would start wrestling to become successful at wrestling, to get famous as a wrestler, to win belts and make money as a wrestler. Why focus their energy beating someone up that doesn't reach that goal?
Now, I'd see it if a guy flips heel and starts attacking refs for either perceived or actual bias, but as part of a bigger thing (feud against the promotion or top face).
Plus, can you wrestle a match if there's no ref to ref the match? If you attack the ref all the time, why would any refs want to be around?

It would be a very brief gimmick.
EDIT: Now that I think of it, Ken Shamrock kind of had this gimmick. Refs and road agents.

Logic, be damned. This is usually a side gimmick of my primary CAW in games.

I feel like this angle would only work if you were having a ref become an active wrestler, a face version of the Danny Davis story.

Any of the scores of ECW guys who put their hands on Bill Alfonso. The gimmick was they couldn't touch him. Finally 911 did. At first, sure. By the end of his time there it was like he existed exclusively to get the crap kicked it of him.

Forget fighting wrestlers; they got into the industry to beat up refs. How come nobody has done this? Because there's no logical explanation for a wrestler continuing to be employed if they are beating up referees regularly. Eh, WWE nuked that idea when they had half their roster beat up the owners at one time or another.
