Meh terrible sounds like terrible, and both Hollaback girl and Fergielicious are inane as all hell.

Would anyone really be shocked if she had come out with 'Gwen-alicious' first?

The rest of No Doubt should replace her with Gary Cherone and move on.

I just tortured myself by watching Fergalicious on YouTube.
All her songs are about how hot she is and how every man wants her.

I still think it's bullshit that they were just giving Gwen all the attention and no one else mattered. Y'know, despite the fact that they actually wrote the music...she just wrote the lyrics. All equally important. NOT the singer being more important than everyone else.

Yea they really hit on that with Don't Speak, I'm sure Gwen didn't wanna overshadow them, but more often than not, a girl will outshine the boys in most bands, especially when the lead gets most of the attention anyway

I love Gwen to death, and it's just the magazines/media in general that put her in front. I'm just sayin'.

From a marketing standpoint it made sense, not that that's right musically or fair, but I can see WHY they did it.

I like some of her solo stuff.
Songs like "Whatcha Waiting For?", "Cool", and (yes) "Rich Girl".
Yet I hate some of her over stuff, like "Hollaback Girl" and "Wind it up".
I have to admit, I liked No Doubt Gwen better than Solo Gwen.

Would they really have been successful without Gwen? If you look at it that way, I think it makes perfect sense that she was the star. I can also say from personal experience that being the frontperson for a band is in some ways harder than being one of the other members. You have to interact with the audience and pretty much sell the show, whether your band is good or not.

I like her No Doubt stuff. But The Sweet Escape is almost Sussudio-level bad.

I don't find Gwen nor her non-existant tits to be attractive. Was never into the whole 'ska' thing that was popular during the mid-90's and I can't stand her current pop music

You have to interact with the audience and pretty much sell the show, whether your band is good or not. You raise a valid point, and you're definitely right about being the frontperson for a band...I mean, I'm a singer, and singing for a band is pretty much the only thing I really wanna do with my life that I'm passionate about. So it's something I'll have to get used to in any case. But yeah.
