She is beloved, but I don't see how she's much different than Fergie.
Okay, maybe a little better, but her solo songs appear to be just as silly and ridiculous.
Fergie would be lambasted for that 'Hollaback Girl' song.
Can I get a witness?

But she's actually proven to be talented before this whole weird pop thing she's doing...

But she's actually proven to be talented before this whole weird pop thing she's doing... Agreed. The woman used to be totally freaking cool, she was a damn near hero to me with some of her older stuff. Then she went psychotic and went all uber-pop on us. 'Tis a saddening thing indeed.

I really liked No Doubt back in the day, but her solo stuff is really bad from what I've heard.
Maybe those other dudes had something to do with her success after all.

When she was with No Doubt, I wanted to marry her. Now, I wouldn't kick her out of bed or anything, but she just isn't what she was to me. YOU RUINED IT GWEN!!!

The difference, as others have mentioned, is this:
Prior to hitting it big solo, Stefani was fronting No Doubt and displayed an inkling of talent, despite currently producing mind-numbingly bad pop diddies.
Prior to hitting it "big" solo, Fergie was a crystal meth addict and was a child actor, then joining a group that produces mind-numbingly bad pop diddies. Somehow, she actually makes less intelligible songs without the other two guys in the Black Eye Peas who, from what I've seen, struggle writing a song with more than three words.
Also, there's the fact Stefani is kind of cute and Fergie looks like ET strung out on a coke binge.

Gwen's cool to me, Never felt compelled to buy her albums or anything, but I do love "Sweet Escape" one of the few decent pop songs out there now that's catchy IMO

i havent liked any of her solo stuff in the slightest. I was as huge a fan of no doubt as can be.
What i do respect about her songs now is that non of them sound alike. It isnt like Fergie where all the songs are synth r&b pop. Gwen is trying to do something different, it just isnt that good.

I like her. She was always a role model while I was growing up. I wish she would go back to making meaningful music again. Or at least drop the "I have a gaggle of asian whores that follow my every movement" gimmick.

I actually rather like her solo stuff. I know most people can't stand it...buuut yeah.
Also, I've been a fan of No Doubt for quite awhile...so yeah. Still like Gwen's solo stuff.

I think Gavin Rossdale's wiener saps the talent out of anything it touches!

Someone convinced her that she needed to do these kinds of albums. Eventually, the rock will return to her veins and she'll get the urge to do it once again. I personally love her and I am patient.

It's fun music that gets stuck in your head in a good way. I have nothing against Gwen.

I dunno, anytime I've had a song of her latter day career stuck in my head, it's just made me angry.
