Basically, management and talent from Japan’s biggest promotion met with the Minister of Sports (and other roles, he seriously has a lot) Hiroshi Hase to iron out steps long term for the future of the industry and, especially with events in America right now, it makes for a real eye opener in comparison.

Tanahashi himself said Wrestling should be one of the last things to come back.
It is another world and culture.

It's night and day seeing how different in approach NJPW and WWE have towards this.

It's so cool seeing a wrestler become a well respected politician. Over here, we're stuck with Jesse Ventura.

Well it's worth noting that, of the four famous Japanese wrestlers who became politicians, Hiroshi Hase is the only one who's not completely insane. I'm not talking about their political positions, which I don't actually know, just the fact that Antonio Inoki, Atsushi Onita, and The Great Sasuke have all earned a reputation as complete maniacs.

How can you even defend WWE when companies that: Have Smaller Fundings, a harsher culture on work ethic and don't have direct contact with the president, are doing this?
Is there any single argument you could make?

To be fair, I remember Ventura was pretty well-regarded during his tenure as Minnesota's governor. He did a lot to advance civil rights for the LGBTQ+ community in the state, especially. He didn't start becoming a conspiracy nut until after he left office.

I suppose there could be plenty of worse candidates to enter office given the wrestling industry.

I'm glad the different companies are reaching an accord here. I'm kind of glad that it further increases the chances that none of them sell to McMahon, though.
