I honestly had no idea he was still with us, as so many from that era of animation have long since passed. I'm glad he got to have such a long, full life. Most people only remember him for his bizarre take on Tom & Jerry - famously parodied on The Simpsons as "Worker & Parasite" (which spawned the "What the hell was that?!" meme) - but his other works like Tom Terrific show what a unique and innovative style he had. May the golden age of animation live forever.

FOr some reason the syndicated T&J show I watched after school in the late 70s always aired the Deitch era episodes. Hated them as a kid.
