I remember the commentary when he debuted it at Armageddon. "This man doesn't have a limp biscuit, I assure you." Yeah, thanks for that image JR.

The Kid Rock song was infinitely cornier then and now.

Yeah, what happened to the Kid Rock song? It was literally called "American Badass" and WWE has a hard on for Kid Rock. They even put him in the Hall of Fame. This was easily the best of the three, but it lasted for such a short amount of time as his theme. Why did they ditch it for rollin? Outside the fact that it's the worst of the three by far, just imagine the licensing: A KID ROCK song that was SINGLE from a NEW ALBUM built off of a METALLICA sample. Had he just quoted The Beatles somewhere in the middle and you have a case for the most expensive possible song to license of all time. While the Bizkit track was a single, there's no outside publisher to pay.

Its odd how well WWE managed to utilize Limp Bizkit's work for their stuff especially given how very hit and miss they were. I'm hardly a fan of them but pretty much every significant song the company ever utilized (Rollin, My Way, Crack Addict, Build a Bridge) were all decent tracks and fit very well for whatever PPV or wrestler they were paired with. Even Fred Durst being in Just Bring It basically meant you could beat him up if you wanted, making even that inclusion an effective one. Loved throwing Durst of the top of the Cell

Up until Undertaker put on that terrible performance in Saudi Arabia, I hated his Bikertaker stuff. However, I actually have fond memories of him coming down to the ring in a motorcycle and the theme songs. Odd how nostalgia gives you a renewed perspective on something.

I feel like Limp Bizkit contributing the theme song for WM 19 was probably the last culturally relevant thing they ever did. Not the whole band, but Fred Durst returned last year to direct The Fanatic starring John Travolta, which was widely held to be the worst film of 2019. Worse than Gotti? Madon’!

Let us all reflect on the poetry of one Fred Durst:
”1-2-3 times two to the six
Jonesin’ for your fix of that Limp Bizkit mix
So where the f*** you at, punk?
Shut the f*** up
And back the f*** up
While we f*** this track up!”
MWAH!
