Bikertaker was one of my favorite versions of the character and I wish he'd never reverted to the Dead Man. That said, it's still hilarious in retrospect how this badass biker came down to the ring to Limp Bizkit who even back then would have to be acknowledged was music for teenagers.
Equally funny is how we all just kind of shrugged and said "sure." The incongruity of the character and theme is just hilarious.
In the 80s I guess he'd have roared down to the ring to Great White's Once Bitten Twice Shy.
Which honestly woulda been awesome.

I can't say much, I was a huge fan of them back in the day and I marked for that song each time he came. Sure I cringe every time now but I can't front and say I didn't enjoy it at the time. So, good job wwe? I guess?

Well, Taker did get burnt by pyro, so that would’ve been some foreshadowing

Yeah I mean ideally, you'd think something like Metalicca right?
But "Rollin" and "You're Gonna Pay" just seemed to fit Biker Taker so well. You didn't even question it.

So, good job wwe? I guess? I was a big fan of LB in high school, then spent my 20s going "ugh, that band was terrible" or "well, Wes was pretty cool, but no thank you to everything else". Now I'm in my 30s and I'm back around to enjoying them. So let's just...keep rollin' rollin' rollin' rollin (yeah)!

Yeah I mean ideally, you'd think something like Metallica right? . Well, he originally came down to American Badass which sampled Sad But True, so technically,, (not to mention he used Metallica several times later in his career).

Nah, this is only in hindsight. Limp Bizkit were very much the zeitgeist just like wrestling was back then.

Don't know whether to give kudos or smack you on the nose with a newspaper and say "No." Haha.

Much better theme than You’re Gonna Pay imo.
Also I was 16 when he started using ‘Rollin’ so yeah I was clearly the right demographic.

Yeah, what happened to the Kid Rock song? It was literally called "American Badass" and WWE has a hard on for Kid Rock. They even put him in the Hall of Fame.

I think the Limp Bizkit song is a good measure of how the first five to thirty seconds of a wrestling theme is crucial. The BONG "KEEP ROLLIN ROLLIN ROLLIN ROLLIN" hook was empirically fantastic as a wrestling theme - it's high energy, it's catchy and singable, it sets the tone for a big intimidating guy to roll down the ramp on a motorcycle. The song goes right to hell aside from that opener, but it's good for exactly as long as a wrestling theme needs to be distinctive and mood-setting.

I feel like Limp Bizkit contributing the theme song for WM 19 was probably the last culturally relevant thing they ever did.

A lot of old LB and kid rock pops up on my shuffle when I work out and it’s still great. Then, before WrestleMania, I started thinking “man..I would un-ironically mark the f*** out If after a minute of the Deadman theme, they’d transition right into ‘Rolling’ or ‘American Badass’”. Think they’re on so-so terms with Fred Durst but I hope for ABA or something original over “You’re gonna pay”.

Its odd how well WWE managed to utilize Limp Bizkit's work for their stuff especially given how very hit and miss they were. I'm hardly a fan of them but pretty much every significant song the company ever utilized (Rollin, My Way, Crack Addict, Build a Bridge) were all decent tracks and fit very well for whatever PPV or wrestler they were paired with.
Even Fred Durst being in Just Bring It basically meant you could beat him up if you wanted, making even that inclusion an effective one.

I thought it worked well for it's time as it was at the height of Limp Bizkit's popularity, it wasn't like WWE in the 2010s putting out an old Green Day song or getting papa roach or disturbed for a ppv song

I think it fit pretty well for being the 'hip young kids listen to this' song for a man going through a mid-life crisis right before our eyes.

Limp Bizkit sucked but "My Way" was an oddly poignant song to end the Atittude Era.

Nah, this is only in hindsight. Limp Bizkit were very much the zeitgeist just like wrestling was back then. For the first couple months maybe, but Limp Bizkit fell from grace incredibly quickly after Chocolate Starfish came out. By summer of 2001, they were the butt of everyone’s jokes and I think Taker started using Rollin at Survivor Series 2000. He was definitely using Rollin’ way past when Limp Bizkit were considered “cool”
