One of my favourite game series of all time.
Looking forward to 7 when it eventually comes out over in the west.

I need to put more time into 0, it seems like a really interesting game but f*** it felt like it was really slow to get going.

Yeah, having played 0 and the 2 Kiwamis, the best way I can describe the series is that you spend 2 hours getting past the initial setup, and then the next 6 hours losing yourself to sub quests and minigames. 0 especially, since you have to get over the beginning hurdle with both Kiryu AND Majima.

Majima Cabaret Club and Kiryu Real Estate does get you their legend forms if you complete them tho I mean to complete those quests, you lose 10% on the challenges, but you get it back and can still max it out. Okay, that's good to know. I had lost numerous times on the dance and outrun challenges that I was pretty much at my "F*** you game" level of rage. Which is easy for me to get to.

Be warned, if you're playing through in them in story order like I am, the beginning of Yakuza 3 is a brutal, grinding halt to all playable fun.
It's story appropriate, yes, but it's.... slow.

These are the perfect games to play after Last of Us 2. Not that I didn't enjoy it but the fun and whackiness is a great counter-balance.

I actually completed Yakuza Kiwami tonight ironically
Love Majima Everywhere. I though that would get really annoying but it didn’t suprisingly
The other random battles though.....F*** that
I get Yakuza when it first came out on the Ps2 and never finished it and I think those random battles where why. I enjoyed it a lot more this time but by the end of my 40Hrs I was like f*** off every time one activated

So I’m about 5 hours into Yakuza 2 and find it a bit weird that you only have one fighting style
Like I did some digging and about 0 & Kiwami are the only ones that have multiple fighting styles. I could understand 3,4 & 5 not having it since they were just upgraded essentially but wasn’t Kiwami 2 a total rebuild? And why wouldn’t they do the multiple styles in 6
I don’t mind the fighting style so I’m not complaining, just find it really odd

Plus, once you get the legendary style you never f***ed with the others much after anyway Also in terms of production, Yakuza Kiwami 2 was after Yakuza 6. It is why both games are essentially the same

Up to chapter 6 of Kiwami 2 and just came across the Gravure mini game
..........I never played any apart from the first one when they first came out so this is my first experience of 2 etc and I’m kinda stunned this didn’t get taken out in the remake, in this day and age

I have mostly played the first game, but I tell myself that I need to try the other ones as well. Then again, I think I should finish the first one as well. I just haven't played in a while. I did get far, however.

Finish the first one before you jump into the others I've played them out of sequence but the first one really is the one that ties everything together since it is the start of the journey I would say go 0 next since that is the prequel and then you can work on the others
