Well, you’re right but I don’t think anyone blamed Seth for it. Maybe people did but I didn’t see it and if they did, they’re not worth listening to anyway. Yeah I didn't agree with it either but he was definitely the scapegoat for the fans to shit on as a way of telling the writers they suck. So much so that it basically led to his heel turn now. I’d attribute that to his big, fat mouth more so than the match finish.

Nobody forced you to fall on WWE's sword for them. Seth.
That's on you.

Nobody told him to be overly defensive of WWE in public and then compare bank accounts with other wrestlers... I feel like there would be a lot more sympathy for him right now if he hadn't went ahead and done just that. Or if he hadn't told the fans to be nicer to the company on the day when they fired dozens of workers.

The crowd was already turning on him judging by the Braun match.

Know what? I'm gonna say that when wrestlers decide that any criticism of the company is actually criticism of them and they roll every complaint about writing in with personal attacks from twitter trolls, that's their own damn fault. Seth wanted real bad to co-opt criticisms toward the company and make them all about him to seem like a cool dude shutting down the haters, and I don't even think the fanbase really blamed Seth at all, but Seth has to take responsibility for it anyway because he's the one who put his big dumb mouth out on the line like that. I just don't see how anywhere along the line of "how did WWE book a no-contest in a cell match" is people shitting on Seth as a way to shit on the booking, everyone was cutting out the middleman there.

No one likes a real life corporate stooge. If Seth had kept his dumb ass mouth shut instead of showing his hand that he was desperate for Daddy Vince to keep pushing him as top babyface, people would still think he was becoming lame, but they wouldn't have wiped their hands of him.
WWE tossed him aside as soon as they were getting ready to start pushing Drew. Bet it stung after all the boot licking he did.
