Bushiroad, the parent company of Stardom and New Japan Pro Wrestling, has announced that they are preparing to resume live events soon, with antibody tests for the talent. A set date for the return of live events has not been given.
They've given out a statement which read as follows
Bushiroad Co., Ltd. has canceled and postponed many events from February in consideration of the situation of new coronavirus infection.
With the cancellation of the emergency declaration, we have decided to restart live events such as professional wrestling, stage performances, and live music performances, and have decided to carry out antibody tests for all athletes and performers for safety and security. I will inform you about carrying out antibody tests
For all live events such as New Japan Pro-wrestling performances, Stardom performances, theatrical group airship performances, and Bushiroad Music music live performances, a doctor will perform an antibody test in advance for all players and performers as well as staff members who are closely related.

Yay, it seems like I have way less wrestling I want to watch without NJPW. I've genuinely enjoyed AEW during all this, and Impact's been ok, but then I'll watch a clip from a NJPW match from the past year or even just hear part of a theme song and I'll start getting all wistful. I need my fighting spirit, dag gummit.

My #1 current favorite promotion is finally in business again. The Kings of Sports are going to be quality even while they’re working off their ring rust.

There's none of the licensed themes or covers there (so, no Kaze Ni Nare, no Taichi's angelical voice, no Immigrant Song, no Liger or Tiger Mask etc) but the originals + Ospreay and El Phantasmo are. Since they go by factions, the New Japan Sekigun guys go first ending with the LA Dojo YL theme... and then comes Rainmaker and I can just hear my inner JR saying that "business has just picked up!".

I can't wait, seriously it has been rough without it. I just wonder if they start where they would be at, considering we lost NJC, Dontaku, BOSJ and Dominion. But I don't see how they can go back to any of those things, as it would set the schedule behind.

Right now if everything hadn't gone to hell we'd be getting ready for Dominion, so the next shows they do when they resume will likely be Kizuna Road followed by The G1.
They can possibly do BOSJ during the Destruction tour in September

Any update on a new U.S. TV deal for NJPW?
I was annoyed when Wrestle Kingdom wasn't going to air on AXS like in previous years.

Originally the G1 was going to be delayed to the fall for the Olympics, so I wasn't quite sure how the schedule is going to work now with the Olympics postponed until next year. They might be able to fit BOSJ in somewhere like September or after the G1.

BUSHI tweeted a video that mixed footage of his mask/logos with the BOSJ 27 theme/logos, so they might be going with that tournament right out of the gate.

They can just start from the Anniversary Show that had to be cancelled, since it's already their version of an All-Star Game. Have a shorter BOSJ, whatever the next PPV is, and then they're at the G1

Kizuna Road isn't a very important tour anyways and they need a fresh start, so a tournament would be a good route.

Was phone-posting before; here's the tweet: Now if Tama & Karl are to be believed, there will be little Gaijin presence in 2020. So the BOSJ could run with a smaller, single pool of Juniors (Taguchi, R3K, Hiromu, BUSHI, Despy, Nobu, DOUKI, Ishimori, Tiger & Uemura). Maybe now's the time to invite some talent from other native companies?

Some like Ospreay, Sabre and Henare live in Japan so they'll be fine but guys like GOD, Juice, Finlay are out of luck due to travel bans.
Maybe they should see if AEW can book them.

As far as I know, Ospreay’s still in London with Bea. He was the one that booked an empty arena show a few months ago in London so unless he got a plane and nobody noticed, he’s in England.
