Joey knows exactly what he’s doing. Dismissing it like this leaves Pelle unsure if he’ll refile while also leaving him with $20K of other peoples money that in theory he wouldn’t want to return until he knows what’s up.

He should just keep the guy on retainer. His lawyer is a fan and knows what's up, plus no one who donated would have an issue.

I hope most people would understand, but it's still a weird time.

Not sure if any discovery was completed afterwards. There’s a good chance the attorney ran through most of that money already.

Punk did it! He did it! He found the one feud that I would still be interested in him winning in 2021! Do it, Phil! Make yourself famous! Well based on the replies to this thread, I had NO idea that Ryan Nemeth was a bit of a legend. Think I'll start paying a bit more attention to his wrestling.

I do wonder if he's going to be able to afford to re-file. His career is dead, his indie is dead, his wrestling school is dead and all the legal action he's taken has cost money and none of the people he sued had enough money to be worth it.
He was an indie wrestler, lets not forget, he was probably making an okay living, but not WWE money.

Actually, if there was anyone who was surpassing at the least the lower tier guys in WWE before the pandemic hit with no contract, it was Joey Ryan. 411mania.com/wrestling/joey-ryan-buys-525000-home-la/Dude was making bank on those meet and greets and merch money, and was a central figure in the indie boom in the later half of the 2010s. The question really is, how much was the divorce already affecting his finances going into 2020, and how much did he have saved up before the pandemic and Speaking Out ended his career? And how much of that money was spent on his own legal fees from his frivolous law suits?

That this was worthy of an article is more a testament to how poorly paid indie workers are than to how well off Joey Ryan is.

Yeah, he didn’t buy a Beverly Hills mansion or anything, but $500K is still an impressive amount of money to procure on the indies. Though I would be utterly shocked if he still has ownership of that house after losing all his wrestling income and the divorce.

Joey "countered" Punk's tweet basically saying "Well, at least I didn't make a promise to a friend about paying back legal costs and didn't".
Because, as we all know, that's comparable to several cases of sexual assault.

If he put down 20%, that’s around $105K with a mortgage of probably around $2500-$3000 a month. Not crazy money but he was probably making well into 6 figures.

I figured he'd turn up as a pastor, with a story about how his life was ruined by wokeness but saved by the church.

In an update to his whereabouts, Joey is now working at Disney World on the jungle cruise which yikes. Great background checks at Disney eh Real reassuring He probably used his real name and not his stage name. Plus without being prosecuted for anything he probably flew under the radar. He'll inevitably act up again IMO, he doesn't want to try and atone for what he did and wants to go scorched earth
