Young, immature performer with noted attitude issues refused to drop a title
I, for one, am shocked. Next thing you’re gonna tell me that Randy Orton got into a bit of a trouble when he was younger.
You get what you pay for, TNA. That’s the risk you take when you go after these talent no one else will touch.

Well, firing your World champion is certainly a thing. I'd imagine there has to have been an inciting incident in doing this now, even with the reports that there's drama with her at the moment - firing your champion is a pretty extreme move and all. And yeah, clearly giving her the belt was just absolutely moronic on every level, as if that was up for debate before this. From a talent perspective, there have been worse world champs in ring wise, so it wasn't moronic on every level, just most.

I feel bad saying this, but...
Becoming the first major promotion to make a woman your World Champion amid a bullying scandal and asking her to send you some bare minimum promos from home, only to be ignored so you have to strip her of the title and fire her?
LOLTNA, we missed you.

You can take the TNA out of LOL, but you can't take the LOL out of TNA.

I wonder if Tessa was pissed about AXS TV cancelling WOW.

Not to say Impact is innocent here, but there is some responsibility to either tell them she is not able to defend the WHC/not wanting to separate from Daga for anywhere from 6 months/a year or more. To act like she was a go and not even tape a generic promo about the other wrestlers shows an issue that, while not ending her career, will not help her with bookings. Even if Tully pulls strings, Tessa will still be expected to act more mature. She barely has a relationship with Tully. You think they're going to release Daga? Lol.

She is with him because he is not a U.S. citizen, therefore is unable to enter the U.S. because of Corona. I also do not think she has much of a speaking relationship with her father, just spitballing that she's not mature enough to last in AEW.

Normally, I am not the type to give promoters the benefit of the doubt, but this really does seem like a case of Tessa being a lazy primadonna.
I'm sure she'll go elsewhere, or even just perform in Mexico.
I imagine this means Daga is likely fired too, then, huh?
Cody has expressed interest in her in the past, and obviously, Tully works for AEW, but the Cody interest was a ways back, before the scandal. In addition, Shanna was one of the first people to call her out during that, and Big Swole was also one of the people to confirm the whole "Tessa called someone the n-word" story, since she had apparently tried to mediate and get Tessa to apologize, only for it to not happen. So, uhh, maybe that happens, since AEW kept both Sadie Gibbs and Bea Priestley after their conflict, but it's not a slam dunk or anything.
WWE might still take her, though. They brought back Del Rio after worse, and did business with Ronda Rousey despite plenty of grime surrounding her. If they see money in her, they'll roll the dice.

Yeah its one of those things where I dont think Impact handled anything wrong necessarily however with Tessa's reputation they probably should have expected something like this to happen

She was raised by Magnum TA, but she did end up developing more of a relationship with Tully than she had once she began wrestling.

I don’t believe Del Rio had gone full cokehead knife fighter yet by the time of his first WWE release, it might have only been the thing with him smacking around the backstage guy being racist at him at that point. The second run is where it goes downhill.

Del Rio had made some good waves between his times with WWE so signing him back seemed like a smart play especially since he was fired under dubious circumstances. The real bad stuff wasn't until much later. Ronda was a massive star and whatever grime may have come with her wasn't enough to think bringing her in wasn't worth the gamble. Tessa just feels like a headache that is not at all worth it. The juice won't be worth the squeeze.

Yea, but he came back after having a good run on the indies and seemingly getting some of his shit together. Plus he had some goodwill back from the fans and a legit gripe of the racist stuff that happened before he left

I can't blame Impact
It comes off as a little petty but Tessa wasn't willing to play ball and with how much they have done for her and stood by her I can see them being rightfully pissed
Tessa doesn't need negatives on her resume and this will be another scratch on it

Tessa may be young but that's no excuse for not doing the bare minimum for people who bent over backwards for her and took a chance when no-one else would.
She should look how Teddy Hart's life worked out after blowing every chance he was handed.

Impact gave her a big chance and she blew it. Not coming to tapings because of the virus I can understand, but doing no promos just seemed weird.
