AEW tends to get a lot of praise for its tag division, and rightly so. Their women's division, less praised to put it mildly, but they're working on that. But, something we don't get a lot of in mainstream wrestling are managers, and they seem to be working on that nicely. Tully, Taz, Arn, and Jake. You could also throw in Brandi, Allie, Mr. Brodie Lee, or Penelope/Kip, but I'm mostly focusing on people who are strictly managers and not wrestlers who do valet/manager work in addition to that. There's also Leva, who doesn't wrestle particularly often, but again, she's not a full-time manager, and is more a valet than manager in presentation, anyhow. There is a distinction, though the easiest way to demonstrate it is: Lana with Rusev pre-Dolph angle? Manager. Post-Dolph angle? Valet.
Valet is moral support. Manager, uhh, manages. Both may cheat.
It's little things that I like. FTR has their debut, and what do you have? Managers in the crowd watching on, presumably to scout them, maybe even court them. Tully, Arn Anderson, Jake Roberts, looking on.
On AEW Dark, Taz mentioned that he'd specifically like to take on Scorpio Sky as one of his clients, so it doesn't seem he's going to be limited to one, previously seeking Darby and introducing Brian Cage after Darby turned him down.
Do you see this expanding to any more managers? Do you have some ideas on who you'd like to see take on new clients, perhaps once their current charges are more firmly established or if they dump them?
I think that FTR doing the spike piledriver, while potentially a shot at Young Bucks like some speculated, or just to establish they have two viable finishers, also might have been sending a message to Tully and/or Arn that they would be amicable to working with them, or even just a gesture of respect.
Jake would be fun with the Butcher and the Blade, though it might be a bit of an odd fit with Allie also likely returning to their side sooner than later. Still, nothing says you can't have both, and an entourage is definitely not a bad thing sometimes.

Archer with the Butcher and the Blade would be a great stable. B&B are never going to be anything other than lower midcarders, but they'd look terrifying flanking Archer and Jake.

I agree 100%. The resurgence of the lost art of managing in pro-wrestling is a captivating plot device in AEW. It has elevated guys like Spears and Archer, and is another notch in AEW's belt for why they are a more complete wrestling product.
Before I lay out my idea, I want to state that a manager's purpose is to get their client over, not themselves, but I look at the talented pool of managers they have, and I thought to myself, these guys should be a stable. A stable of managers, not their clients, but them. Jake, Tully, and Arn uniting as a rogues gallery working to gain more power and control for themselves and their clients in AEW.
It would be a difficult line to run, as the focus should still be getting the wrestlers over, but separate the interactions between the managers together, and them with their clients, could expand drama behind-the-scenes. These three trying to scheme together to get more for their clients is something I have not seen in pro-wrestling outside of the back in the day client trades.
Just an idea I had.

I'd like to see one of the managers manage a woman. I know Kip is ringside for Penelope matches, but it's kind of a different beast when it's a romantic partner. It's a matter of finding a good fit, though.

I dunno Butcher by himself strikes me as a dude who could have a run eventually. He's pretty legit and has yet to take a pin.

He's booked strongly, though I imagine the band also being a priority may sometimes get in the way.

Butcher would probably be a more interesting "Hoss of the Month" than Brian "Rowdy Roidy Piper" Cage.

Anna Jay could use a dark order manager. She still has some ways to go in the microphone

The other good thing about managers is it opens up more storyline possibilities.

I do have to say, I spent years being "eh" on Taz as a commentator, though I don't know how much of that was Vince yelling in his ear and then TNA giving him weird ass stuff to work with...but good God, the past couple promos he's cut with Cage have given me some very happy flashbacks to black singlet-wearing, FTW title-holding Taz just coming across as the baddest @#$%er in the universe. I appreciate that while he's acting as a heel manager he's not defaulting to "sneaky, scheming, cheating heel"; he's just "this is still Taz, he still hates the world, and he's just confident as hell that Cage will kill you and that he's brilliant for managing him."
And yeah, going by how Butcher and Blade matches are booked, I think they have plans for Andy Williams, for sure...and rightly so, because The Butcher @#$%ing rules.
