I know it's all opinion, and opinions cannot be wrong, but this comes close. There is no way that Rocky V is better than Rocky IV. Actually, I'm with him. Though I love IV, I think it's the weakest of the whole series. In comparison with the others, it almost seems like a shadow of what the others were. V seemed to take a step back toward what had come before. And Rocky Balboa was just genius. Still, I love all Rocky movies.

Wow! I have some very unpopular opinions apparently! I thought Balboa was second only to the original! my order of Rocky movies 1. Rocky 2. Rocky Balboa 3. Rocky III 4. Rocky V 5. Rocky II 6. Rocky IV I agree with your first three. After that it goes 2, 4, 5. Maybe it's just me, but 5 never really felt like a Rocky movie.

I like all the Rocky movies. Rocky V wasn't as good as the rest but I still enjoy it.

Tommy Gunn tested negative for AIDS right? After all these years of retirement Yep. The Arizona State Boxing Commission tested him then observed the results. He is HIV Negative. The original postive test was wrong. Scary stuff to think you have a killer virus for years.

Amen!!!!! I made a Rocky V appreciation thread a few months ago I like it alot too. How can you not mark out for "Get up you son of a B**ch because Mickey Loves you" Chills every time I see that. My eyes well up just a bit. All the Rocky movies are great in their own way. Rocky Balboa was amazing by the way. I cant imagine anyone not liking it who enjoyed the rest of the series.

Rocky Balboa is what Rocky V was supposed to be before the studio made Stallone cheese it up with more late-80s/early-90s cornball stuff.
Ever notice how diverse the Rocky movies are, especially since they are all from the same series?
I, II, and Balboa are serious dramas.
III and IV are cheesey 80s action flicks.
And V, well, it's an abomination yet still enjoyable!
Anyone else think II would've been much better if it weren't for the stupid part where Adrian goes into a coma?

Wow.... I haven't seen Rocky V, but those credits are awesome! Really cool idea to summarize the entire saga like that. It really makes the series seem like one huge epic story rather than 5 individual movies. I liked IV, but I can see why some people didn't like it. Whereas I and II were more character based movies, IV basically turned Rocky into an action hero. It was like "Rocky vs The Communists" as opposed to "Ordinary man with extraordinary heart fights to become something". But I did like IV just because it still was a good story underneath all the 80's cheese. Although I didn't really get into the whole "Rocky ends the cold war" thing, I did get into Rocky standing up to and defeating the guy who killed his friend. That's what I liked about IV.

I was going to post about the credits montage but since it's been done I would like to mention that I thought V was awesome but the kid made me want to stab myself. I know it is Sage Stallone and all, but c'mon what a tard. Not to mention that when they left the country in IV the kid was like 5 or 6 years old and when they got back he was a teenager. Rocky must have taken a job as Russian Prime Minister or something and forgot to come home.

The worst thing about Rocky V is the fact that after being pummelled by Apollo Creed twice, Clubber Lang twice, and Ivan Drago, Rocky ends up with nothing, thanks to Paulie, who in reality should have died by Rocky II due to an alcohol-related illness.

Paulie is the most lovable, drunken, racist, idiot in cinema history!!! Remember his comments in that gym in Rocky III, "You can't train him like a colored fighter!! He's got no rythym!" and "These aren't my people Rocky!" hahahaha, if that film is made today, I bet you anything those lines aren't in there. Plus he hacked up the turkey that Adrian cooked when he came home drunk and threw it outside, then he lost all of Rocky's money. Yet we still love the guy. I wonder if he ever got to watch the Rose Bowl game while he was with Rocky training in Russia? Actually, why was he worried about it? The fight was on Xmas, he would've been home by January 1st, the day of the Rose Bowl!!!

Paulie got so bored in Russia, he was listening to the Chipmunks.
Meanwhile the ever cool Duke iced that Ruskie playing chess.

I always get a chukle out of paule saying what a depressing vacation walking away and then falling into 4 feet of snow.
It's also funny that Duke became Tony at the start of Rocky V because of George Washington Duke. I guess they thought we'd confuse the two
