George Duke was a pretty decent promoter.
He gave Tommy Gunn a nice car and a redhead.
Pretty good deal for someone who was living under a bridge at the start of the movie.

Rocky V wasn't the best but it was better than R6 which I found terribly , terribly slow....the script didn't deliver at all imo :/

Rocky V wasn't the best but it was better than R6 which I found terribly , terribly slow....the script didn't deliver at all imo :/ If this was wrestling word, you deserve a chair shot to the head for that posting. First off, ROCKY BALBOA is the best Rocky flick since the first movie....its like the egomaniac Stallone finally got his head out of his ass and found a story worth writing, instead of Rambo-like sequels pumped out that progressively got weaker and dumber. ROCKY V, whats the point of it(besides enlarging everyone's pockets) anyway? Thing is, the only thing in that movie that could have worked I guess, writing-wise, is about a young boxer that, unlike Balboa, pulls an Anakin Skywalker and falls prey to the darkside of boxing. Notice that I said "guess," because Stallone botches the whole transformation to where you don't care for the kid boxer nor his conflict. As for the other ROCKY sequels... ROCKY 2 is a follow-up that basically is the first movie again, but rewritten with a victory match and without the gravitas. The movie is competent until it DRAGS when the coma stuff happens. Melodrama, Stallone-style. ROCKY III is an action-blockbuster mentality movie, but takes place in the boxing ring. Surely I can't be the only one that laughed when Mickey died. ROCKY IV is retarded. After I laughed when Apollo Creed was clobbered to death under two rounds, I was damn insulted with the movie's climax. Tell me folks, would the American President stand up and applaud, with the Yankee audience, a Russian boxer that just won against an American at Madison Square Garden? Come on! ROCKY (1976) - **** ROCKY II (1979) - **1/2 ROCKY III (1982) - ** ROCKY IV (1985) - *1/2 ROCKY V (1990) - * - BOMB! ROCKY BALBOA (2006) - ***
