What is the reason this show is on 28 hours a day on MTV? Do they have no other shows? Does the host own the network?

Pulls decent ratings and it’s cheap as f*** to produce due to not paying anyone for the videos they show. Stuff like this and Tosh.0 are some of the cheapest shows around as you cost is basically paying a host and editing team.

I don't watch it often, but like half the appeal of the show for me when I see it on is Chanel West Coast laughing at stuff. It's adorable.

It's extremely cheap to make, and has a built in audience of people who are bored and don't want to have to think about what they're watching too much

My dad watches this semi-religiously and quite honestly it's becoming an issue that the old peoples' home may be the only solution for.
I'm sorta kidding here. We're not putting him in a home -- but he'll be 73 this year, he's a former accountant and retail exec, and he watches this way too much.

As someone who works in a old people's home I can tell you that won't help. "Ridiculousness" is on about 90% of the TVs on my unit daily. Old folks love that show for some reason.

I'd like to share a bag of chips and a soda pop with Chantel West Coast.

I'd be curious to know how much of TruTV's lineup during that same period consisted of reruns of Impractical Jokers. Ditto Comedy Central and The Office.

It's good background noise for when you're bored in general. It's basically a stoner's wet dream of goofy videos and sometimes goofier hosts/guests.

I think it’s for people who find Tosh.O too intellectually taxing.
I love Tosh.O but Ridiculousness is just ass.

And World's Dumbest And not even the good World’s Dumbest episodes with Danny Bonaduce, Tonya Harding, and Todd Bridges! It’s the crappy later episodes with the no-name comedians!

It really is astounding how hard cable has lost it. My 77 year-old grandparents just cancelled their cable this summer. It’s not just The Young People that aren’t paying for this shit anymore.

That show is so damn cringey to me. I don’t know who that girl is and don’t care to know, but I see that face and instantly want to change the channel. It’s so sad how far MTV has fallen.
