Just a solid show. Kross was kept to a minimum. A couple banger matches. Kyle OReilly seems to be back. Lumis is awesome. Cameron Grimes is hilarious.

Another solid 8 this week. Stories all moving forward to Takeover.
My favourite part......
Seeing Dexter hanging out in random backgrounds like he’s a Firefly Funhouse Puppet.

Solid 8 for me again as well.
Everything was moving something forward, some nice build for some of the new talent and a good mix of ring work and story work.
While it will lose to AEW, it was the better show this week.

Io continues her dominance 10 outta 10 on the water bender goddess scale!

I said it in the live thread that this is gonna be one of if not the most underrated and overlooked NXT episodes of the year because what have other captain and myself been saying when others criticize the quality of NXT etc that they quietly just continue to push along and do their thing and they very quietly put together a stacked as f*** card in which most of it was announced like the before and the day of the show.
And it was a great f***ing show which was wonderfully paced , no match stayed too long and every single thing on the show moved all stories and feuds along and atleast off the top of my head no weird bumps in the road that anyone looked at and went...hmmm that just doesn't work.
Women again continue to f***ing kill it...great tag match to open the show
Mercedez Vs Shotzi was great and Shotzi showing no gawd damn fear with that final bump she took and Mercedez is making a solid case to getting a title shot eventually and Robert Stone is back in the wining ways...untill he screws up Mercedez title shot and she puts him in a body cast.
Swerve Vs Atlas was a fantastic sprint of a match with 2 sick counters
triple threat and roddy vs gargano of course slapped and Lumis is coming up in the world...would not be surprised and really at this he deserves it for his work to win the NA title strap NXT's Michael Myers up.
And that ladder match is going the direction I expected it to go it is gonna be all the next big names in NXT getting their showcase match.
LOVED the Keith and Kross segment...that contingent can hate on Kross all they want but the man always has my attention when on screen because his character work is pretty much unrivaled and to make Keith Lee break like that where he is cussing multiple times and just angry is such a simple way to show how powerful Kross is without ever physically attacking the man and this is what myself and other captain have been saying this is where Kross excells in laying out and telling a very strong and powerful story and the emotion out of Keith already is only gonna ramp up because if attacking Dijak pushes Keith this far imagine what is gonna happen when Kross goes after Mia Yim.....and then GRIME TIME BAY BAY! Cameron Grimes is what a goofy dumbass he is in the absoloute perfect role he should always been in...stupid as as bag of hammers lol but has the talent to wreck your shit in the ring.

Didn't watch yet but highlights I saw looks like a decent 7 if i'm grading it off that
Stuff got moved along and some quality matches. Essentially what you expect from NXT every week

It felt like something was missing from the show, but at the same time it was another really solid episode. I'm giving it a 7 because all of the matches were at least pretty good.

I agree there was something missing but this was by design because It was not pushed as an all important show...it was quietly stacked top to bottom but they never pushed it was a must watch episode and really you can see how the booking played to that. There were no HOLY SHIT I GOTTA REWATCH THIS moments they pushed stories and put out solid matches. To get to the 9-10 range atleast for me you gotta have something that has people talking that goes beyond ordinary speak amongst wrestling fans and lastnights show did not have that again by design with how the show played out.

8/10. Kross getting inside Lee's head is compelling, Mercedes vs. Shotzi was good, and also liked Swerve and Lumis winning their matches. Sucks that they changed Lumis' theme, though. Kai and Nox need to get away from each other now. Getting to Ciampa/Gargano levels for me. Rhea Knobbs is going to take some getting used to. I hope Atlas is teasing a heel turn with all the smug grinning before the match started and the taunting he was doing to Swerve.

Rhea Knobbs is going to take some getting used to. Toni Storm dyes her hair black to be her Jerry Sags. They start calling themselves The Nasty Girls.
