An another awesome NXT. I don’t think there was a match that I didn’t like. Everything had a purpose to set up Takeover or next week’s NXT. I like the idea of Vic Joseph on commentary instead of Tom Phillips to give him something else to do besides 205 Live. Danny Burch VS Karrion Kross was a surprisingly good match & really showed what Kross can do, even though it was short. I like the exchange with Keith Lee & Kross afterwards to set-up Takeover, without any physical contact except for the Fireball which was cool. They disrespected Drake Maverick & Killian Dain by cutting away to the back to show to Keith Lee going to the Hospital & The Undisputed ERA arriving & attacking them, as Maverick & Dain were having a good match. But Adam Cole’s promo afterwards was really good. Kushida’s promo was good. Tyler Breeze VS Santos Escobar was an excellent match and I like the save by Isiah Scott to set up him VS Escobar in the future. Dakota Kai’s segment was great. Solid promo by Ridge Holland. Mia Yim VS Indi Hartwell was a decent match. Finn Balor’s promo was good. Bronson Reed VS Damian Priest was an incredible match. Io Shirai’s promo was good, as was Cameron Grimes’ promo. Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter VS Aliyah & Mercedes Martinez was OK and a nice showcase of Aliyah & Martinez. The attack by Shotzi Blackheart & Rhea Ripley on Aliyah & Martinez was good to set-up a future match between them. I didn’t like the Johnny Gargano & Candice LeRae segment. I thought it was stupid. The Timothy Thatcher Segment was OK. Next week’s NXT looks like it will be another good show. Kushida VS Cameron Grimes VS the returning Velveteen Dream was great with an unexpected finish. Also, amazing continuity with Balor-Dream Face off, going back their stand off their off prior to Takeover that never got resolved.
