Jay Lethal, Jonathan Gresham, Matt Sydal, David Finlay, Tracy Williams, Josh Woods, Wheeler Yuta, Rocky Romero, PJ Black, Tony Deppen, Kenny King, Dalton Castle, Rust Taylor, Fred Yehi, Delirious, and Silas Young are the 16 in the order they were announced.
Who do you have as the winner?

Man that is a good line up.
I kinda want the finals to be Gresham vs Williams.

Tracy Williams vs Tony Deppen in the finals. Williams wins. I picture the Pure Championship for the new blood coming into ROH or guys about to break out.

Kick Lethal, King, and Silas out and that lineup would be fantastic. The shoehorn trifecta just drags it down for me.

Tracy Williams vs Tony Deppen in the finals. Williams wins. I picture the Pure Championship for the new blood coming into ROH or guys about to break out. That'll be interesting; on the one hand it's not necessarily a straight-up secondary title, since it exists with its own rules and thus a separate division, so technically it should be one of those "open to anybody on the card willing/able to abide by the division's rules" belts. On the other, again, ROH already has its TV title; does that remain the main secondary title while the Pure is reserved more for, like you say, more people who might not be under full time contract or are just starting out with the company? Or do the gimmicks behind each title (pure rules and TV match structure) get emphasized more to fully distinguish them from the World title? Either way, I hope they work to differentiate the titles from one another. Nigel's old storyline where he sought to make the Pure title "as important as the World title" worked because the idea was he felt the style of wrestling the belt demanded was superior, but at the same time it didn't change that the World title would consistently be the main event/main angle belt. Since neither are straight-up "secondary title, no other gimmicks attached" belts ala both the IWGP and WWF IC titles it does make it important to emphasize how they're different from the World title, and how the match psychology and storytelling for the other divisions stand out from the main event.

Guess the way I'm thinking, the PURE championship will pave the way for a new crop of top ROH talent over the next few years.

Castle is my favorite in ROH and Lethal has been pushed way to much in the past ten years. But I guess ROH has to ROH.

I’m really going to enjoy these next eight weeks.
I think they will be able to bring in new fans this way now that the weekly show isn’t some weird two month behind highlight package while still promoting upcoming events.

Gresham’s mask is kinda like Marty’s bit where is all dark and spooky then they get in the ring and they’re just another normal guy.

That was a hell of a match. Greshem is going to be a star.
Next week Finley vs. Romeo & Delirious vs. Sydal

Jonathan Gresham is the closest thing current wrestling has to prime mid-2000s Bryan Danielson.

Liked it a lot. I haven't watched ROH in a while and this got me to try it.
Gresham is really fun and the finish to the Yuta match was nasty.
