We’re nearing the end of a run that gave her a high-profile platform, a husband and eventually a dangerous respiratory disease.

Good for her. But seeing one of the few bright spots leave the WWE:

they needed her a lot more than she needed them, her husband has been with their rivals for over a year, and thanks to their terrible handling of the current crisis she got corona-virus. this was an inevitability.

I've heard whispers on twitter for a month or so so I'm not really surprised with this.

Not implying it has anything to do with it, Renee probably had this planned for a while, but I find it interesting that this happens not long after her bout with COVID and WWE being pissed she mentioned it.

Honestly Renee has such a high ceiling in any announcer/broadcast position that her leaving WWE always felt like an inevitability even discounting the company's recent shenanigans.
If she does end up in something like AEW great, but any media/entertainment company would be fortunate to have her.

I wonder if she made any connections at FS1 for a job there. I know AEW looks likely for the obvious, but I think she can do more for herself as a sports anchor somewhere.

She'll be missed.
In an era where they wanted all their interviewers, presenters and commentators to be bland boring robots with no personality whatsoever she somehow managed to transcend all that and her natural charisma and likeability shone through.
She wasn't great on commentary but everything else they had her do she knocked out the park.
Good luck to her

She stood out in a way that not a lot of interviewer types these days (not all their fault, but still). She deserves all the good thing, wishing her nothing but the best.

Good for her. Wrestling is the last thing we need in today's time. Do what makes you happy. ESPN will love you.

I’ll share the sentiment about it being good for her if that’s the case. Even before all this, they seemed to be criminally under using her for reasons I don’t understand considering she’s an actual broadcaster with actual broadcast experience who didn’t really need WWE. I’d also say all the COVID stuff didn’t help, especially finding out stuff externally rather than from within the company, or at the very least pushed her decision.

Knowing Vince/WWE, it was due to her husband being a top guy on the competition. I will echo the sentiments of others saying Renee has "outgrown" WWE and has the skills to flourish elsewhere.

She’s so talented and has mostly been wasted during her time in WWE (although that can be said about most who leave WWE!).
I wonder if she would go elsewhere in the entertainment industry or stay in wrestling. She’s a big fish in a small pond right now. ,
