Great move by the Browns. Got a great O-lineman and now have a QB. Plus he gets into a situation with Kellen Winslow and Braylon Edwards to throw to and he's playing for his hometown team...not a bad situation.

What did Cleveland give up for him though?

That was well played by the Browns. I doubt they planned it that way. Give them credit, taking Joe Thomas and then Quinn sliding down, and being able to trade with the Cowboys. That is one hell of a first round for the team I hate the most.

Jerry Jones and Phil Savage did an amazing job with this draft.
Jerry gets a second first round pick next year (and probably a high round pick at that) and Savage gets Joe Thomas and Brady Quinn.

The Browns just got a steal. Agreed and that was smart by Cleveland to get Joe Thomas and Brady Quinn. Can't believe they pulled that off! I'm calling it now Cleveland officially has had the best draft.

What did Cleveland give up for him though? First rounder next year and a second this year.

Oh no, a second this year and a first rounder next year? Too steep...

I wouldn't bank on that. They were really hurt last year, which kept them back. They could easily go 8-8 next year.

I don't follow college that much; who's the early favorites to be top picks next year? In the past, it's been obvious; Bush, Peterson and Quinn we could all see coming the year before. Who's gonna be coming out next year?

They are still young and have to play the Ravens, Steelers and, Bengals twice (3-5 or 4-4 at best). Even then, they still have two first that can be traded to go to a higher pick or they can trade one of those now and get back in this first round. That second first rounder opens a lot of possiblities.

It would make sense for the Pats to pick a safety or corner.
So I expect them to take a tight end or a runningback.
EDIT: Or a linebacker. Davis Harris seems like the likely pick.
