Tough year to judge, especially with their weird semi kayfabe ranking system. Although MJF being low suggests kayfabe doesn't apply as much as I thought.

MJF hasn’t lost, but he’s also not wrestled that much on TV. That could be why he’s lower? I’m not sure. I feel like 11 out of the Top 25 being within WWE is pretty low, which likely says a lot about the 50:50 booking and overall product

I am rather surprised Reigns is where he is considering he has been away most of the year for health reasons.

Seven matches in seven separate months seems like a super low bar. I feel like Brock doesn't belong on this list at all.

MJF is one of the highest wrestlers on the list who hasn't won a notable promotion's (or WWE brand's) top title. Almost everybody above him has been a top champion in the past, most of them in the past year - I think Kota Ibushi is the only real exception, since Will Ospreay has at least had the NJPW junior title.

Someone please recommend me some Jacob Fatu and Kento Miyahara bangers! Thanks! His recent match with Suwama was pretty good, and I adored the match he had with Naoya Nomura during his last reign before dropping the Triple Crown.

So all the Shield guys have made #1 on the PWI list correct? I feel like Mox is def the most successful guy in all of pro wrestling this year. The only other guy that can compare is maybe drew

Is Shield the first faction where all the guys made #1?

Vince: This list is bullshit because I don't see Baron Corbin in the Top 5

Black being in the top 25 cracks me up because his W-L record is indeed pretty damn good, but he's never even received a title shot to show for it.

Allow me to humblebrag for a moment but the promotion I co-founded got mentioned in one of the writeups (Spike Trivet). We've only had one show before the world went to shit haha

Such a marky yet fascinating magazine. I want to read it badly. Seems like they offer digital editions, will try it some time!

That list seems terribly underwhelming.(Speaking strictly of the top 25) But as someone else said, it’s a weird year to judge.

I am rather surprised Reigns is where he is considering he has been away most of the year for health reasons. Well remember that it's ranked from June 2019 to June 2020. So Roman really only missed the last 3 months or so. So from there, Reigns won his feud with Drew, had a big program with Daniel Bryan and Rowan. Won the match for Team Hogan at Crown Jewel, won the Survivor Series match for Smackdown, Had a long feud with Corbin that he'd ultimately win and was the Rumble runner up. He also had some really good matches on Smackdown, in particular a killer match with Murphy. Taking everything into consideration, I can see why he'd be on the list as high as he is.

Also past years preformance does help since you might have a meh year but if you were top 5 they won't drop you a hundred spaces for no reason
