and that's how we FINNish here in the Helsinki Olympic Stadium, Helsinki, a single goal victory for WALES
FAROE ISLANDS scored an unbelievable 3-2 win over MALTA, being 2-1 down with 87 minutes on the clock, but two quick goals gave them a great three points!
SPAIN got a late late extra time goal to get a point off GERMANY
KOSOVO also got a point of MOLDOVA
REPUBLIC OF IRELAND also drew 1-1 in BULGARIA
UKRAINE RUSSIA and HUNGARY also won
SLOVENIA and GREECE was 0-0

And I lost my bet because it didn't finish 2-1 to Wales lol. Seriously though, good to hear they won. Didn't get to see much of the game even though it was shown in my workplace but decent result 1-0 at Finland. Can't even coment on the disallowed goal either to be fair but at least they won.

Damn that missed chance by Leo Väisänen from the first corner. Granted, it came really fast and he didn't get a good strike at the ball, but hitting the post hurts after that result.

PFA Player of The Year nominees:
Virgil Van Dijk Saido Mane Jordan Henderson Trent Alexander Arnold Kevin De Bruyne Raheem Sterling
Young Player of the Year nominees:
Trent Alexander Arnold Mason Mount Tammy Abraham Marcus Rashford Mason Greenwood Bukayo Saka
Thinking De Bruyne for player of the year and Trent for young player

Messi confirms he will stay at Barcelona this coming season. Said in the previous thread this will happen.
My thoughts and condolences are with Man City and PSG during this terrible time.

Logically, it was likely the only outcome from all this. Illogically, Messi is a coward! We needed to finally see him on a rainy day in Stoke!

Yeah it's all a protracted power play which all boils down to money in the end. What a shock it will not be when the current president at Barca is told to step aside and they get a new president who happens to be a good friend of a certain Lionel Messi, who gets a bumper new contract out of the process.

Just have to wait until the results are announced I suppose.

Looks like Suarez is off to Juventus. He already knows the Captain very well and must like him as six years ago he tried to take a piece of his shoulder as a souvenir.

West Brom have signed Diangana from West Ham and sent all the Hammers fans (and players!) into meltdown.
As a Baggies fan, I'm absolutely delighted.

crazy end in iceland as ENGLAND scrape a 1-0 victory over ICELAND ... erm where the game is ...
coming up to the end of the game england gets a penalty and SCORE from it but mere moments later iceland also get a penality ... BUT THEY MISSED IT!!!
from the bbc feed
"A bizarre game on nearly every level! Raheem Sterling's goal wins it for England but it was not a great display.
England really struggles to create anything at all and Iceland should have levelled with that last-gasp penalty of their own."

Georgia made my Niece's day today by beating Estonia 1-0. She saw the name, of the Country on television not knowing there's a Country by the same name as her and she thought they weren named after her . Ah, to be a kid again .

bloody nora WALES you left it late didn't you!
a game that only be described as "a game of football" was about to be handed it's letter of resignation until a tough little header and virtually the last touch of the ball lead to the welshes fourth win in a row, and command of their group in the uefa nations league group!

and it's been a great week for the FAROE ISLANDS, as they ploughed poor ANDORRA by a goal to nil and win two in a row!
