I don't see any specific threads on the main event...
But yeah, this match was awesome. Moxley and MJF worked really well together and MJF looked so at home in the main event. Protected as well with the finish.
This match coupled with his promo work of the last month or so has really made me go from 'yeah this kid is pretty ok, needs a bit of work to really be taken seriously though' to 'wow this is a legit main eventer for the company'
Excited to see where he goes from here.

Was an amazing match, damn near brought the PPV to another level by itself. I said it in thread but MJF isn't just the future of wrestling, he is the NOW of wrestling. The amount of skill and poise he has at 24 is downright insanity.
I assume the next feud is Wardlow, unless he tries to stick around the main event even with Archer looming

The timing of that ending was all so perfect.
A star-making match for sure.

Was it better than the match against Cody? Wish he had won, but kinda get AEW's thinking of making first title reigns a bit longer.

Agreed on this as well. The time wasn't right (imo personally) for him to win the title, but he sure as hell showed why he's main event level.

At the time i thought that match's disappointing quality was down to MJF being out of place that high on the card but now, seeing him put on a great outing vs Jungle Boy at DON and now last night's performance, I'm gonna put the blame retroactively on Cody.

It was a great match. I loved the storytelling throughout, from MJF working the left arm for the whole match to set up Salt of the Earth, the constant chase to get MJF outside and into Mox's territory culminating in MJF running his mouth and getting busted open for it, Mox going for the Paradigm Shift before realizing 1) he can't use it and 2) his left arm is f***ed, so he switches arms and I think hits a suplex, and Wardlow's dastardly interference foreshadowing him f***ing up and leading to the finish, which also gives Mox a few outs to get a rematch. Phenomenal stuff.

Phenomenal stuff. MJF actually backing up his whole “I’m a master in the ring” really helped put a special emphasis on Mox taking the fight outside and MJF paying for it by getting cut up.

Did MJF blade or just hit the pole really hard?
Either way, a solid match. I'm still not sold on MJF yet as world title material. I actually thought he should have won the TNT title over Brody to establish that he can carry a title.

MJF has always been kinda one of those "... and then the bell rang" guys for me, but that was the best match of his and Moxley's AEW career IMO.

He absolutely brought it and it was match of the night. He's a main eventer now for keeps.

My favorite part is that the match made it abundantly clear that Moxley is better than MJF without making MJF look weak.
MJF gave Moxley a hell of a fight and showed that he was really damn good, but that he was just a bit overmatched against the likes of Jon Moxley.
It was very subtle storytelling to begin with. It was a young gun, who was just in over his head on this night. I also liked the fact that Moxley was perfectly willing to abide by the rules until MJF started cheating his ass off.
The Paradigm Shift keeps MJF protected. It was a damn near perfect main event.

I think that might have been my favorite AEW world title match so far. Just an incredible performance from both guys.

I've not been a fan of MJF at all up to this point but f*** me if he didn't deliver here. Outstanding main event and MJF proved he could he hang as a main eventer.

I agree, which is why I don't get the Miz or FTR comparisons. The Jungle Boy match proved to me he can have great matches in AEW, this just solidified it.
