What are some lame fights in movie based on the actors real life fighting skills?
Thanos bless Paul Walker, but he was never going to take Tony Jaa in a fight.

Paul Walker was a legit BJJ brown belt If he could get it to the ground he might beat him. Jaa, of course beats his ass in standup. That said I don’t even remember their fight. Lol

From what I've seen, pretty much every Indian movie ever.

Gymkata is a treasure trove of lame fights.
The most lackadaisical low-speed foot chase followed by a fight scene where the unspoken rule is "only one one guy at a time can attack."
More flippy shit than a bad indy wrestling show.

Conclusion of "The Matrix: Revolutions"
Hugo Weaving and Keanu Reeves had tons of martial arts training under their belts by that point, and the quality of the fight sequences was a large selling point of the franchise. Surely this will be a duel to the death worthy of what's come before it, at least as good as the lobby shootout, the freeway fight, etc......
Then they have a terrible DBZ knockoff fight that's mostly CG and with incredibly awkward inserted lines.
No wonder Weaving wasn't interested in returning for the fourth one.

No wonder Weaving wasn't interested in returning for the fourth one. You might be thinking of his stance on Marvel, since he decided after Captain America: The First Avenger that he was done and wouldn't return. Sure enough, when asked if he would like to be in Infinity War and Endgame he declined. He was very keen to do Matrix 4, however: The Revolutions fight was definitely garbage, though.

Red Skull returning in Infinity War was a big mark out moment for me and the first thing I did after getting out was wiki it to see if that was him. Obviously, it was not. Rare man who sees the second and third Matrix movies as more bereft of value than the Marvel sequels, especially given that he was being asked to portray one of the iconic villains and that there were potential eight figure payouts down the road. Anyways. Gotta stick by your principles. Good for him.

He was told it would just be a voice acting role, and thus would be even less money than he was paid in 2011. He says that while he wasn't particularly interested in returning, he would have accepted if the money had been right.

I love Chuck Norris quote on David Carradine. "If he's a martial artist, then I'm an actor."

John Saxon killing Bolo Yeung in Enter the Dragon has never sat right with me Bolo was pretty weak overall though, he destroyed the white belt jobbers, got punked by Williams, and killed by Saxon. In real life Saxon was a way more accomplished martial artist, and besides Bruce couldn’t take everyone out, his main targets were Han and O’Hara after all. I wish that Williams would have made it to riot, dude’s story holds up to this day. I wouldn’t be mad at a character reboot

Okay I just watched this last night since it was referenced in Cobra Kai and I hadn't seen it. The final fight in Karate Kid 3 with Daniel vs. Mike Barnes. What a weird scripting decision all around. First off, Daniel being given a bye to the finals while Barnes has to lay out a bunch of dudes to get there is such weird psychology since the babyface has the advantages. Second, Barnes is so far above LaRusso as a fighter it is laughable, just toying with him but under instructions to get a point, commit a penalty, point, penalty, etc. So finally they go to sudden death since the score is 0-0 (Barnes has really just killed him the entire time). Daniel gets one lame take down/punch combo and that's it. That's all there was to the fight. No cool new epic move debuted, nothing. Roll credits.

Commando, the showdown between Matrix and Bennett. We're forced to believe Matrix, a mountain of muscle played by 1980's Arnold Schwarzenegger, would have a tough fight against a man played by the far less physically impressive Vernon Wells. The fight would've been more believable if Matrix wasn't no selling that gun wound. Alternatively, they could've cast Bill Duke as Bennett, instead of casting him as lackey Cooke.

I love the show, but the season finale fight in Cobra Kai was a bit too over the top

Hey now this is the guy who more than held his own against a team of Power Rangers so I wouldn't underestimate his abilities.
