Man o man, I think this Cedric heel turn finally was the straw that broke the camels back. I don’t think I have ever Truly felt like the bookers and people coming up with nonsense had “no idea” what makes sense and what it doesn’t, I could always spin thing in a positive manner....but I just can’t with this Cedric thing. Cedric has been a jobber for years. Yet MVP, who came back and aligned himself with legit badass’s and dudes with championship history....randomly has been trying to getting Cedric to join them....why? What has Cedric done? Why would MVP want him so bad? It’s so random and makes 0 sense. It would be different if Cedric was on a winning streak or something and each week a manager would be trying to sign him, or be different is Cedric has any history with any of the hurt business members, but he doesn’t. Just aimless booking! Do they not think about things like that??? Do they think we are brainless? So much other stuff..Lana and Natty randomly BFF’s and calling Natty the BOAT...Keith Lee and Drew now being BFF’s. It’s all just terrible terrible booking and such thrown together nonsense.

"WE'RE NOT STUPID!" But yeah, I've sort of been feeling the same way for a while now. It feels like they're ok with booking shows that are just good enough to be sort of entertaining, instead of trying to 'read the room', trying to gauge the interests of fans and what or who they find entertaining or might find entertaining, they're just throwing out whatever might stick and when all else fails, throw the big big names that have been around forever out there. It's very random, but not in the awesome Attitude Era way.

I'd say for MVP it isn't so much about gaining the talents of Cedric as it is about hurting Apollo by stealing his friend away.
And maybe he wants someone in his stable who was born after 1976.

I just don’t get it. I’m a 35 year old male, right in their “demo” and around the age of some of their top stars...the wrestlers have to feel the same way we do, do they just ignore it for a paycheck? Just don’t see how any person with a smart who’s on their writing team doesn’t look at all their current storylines and just be like , this is shit and makes 0 sense

I'd say it makes more sense than Heyman making a big deal out of signing Curtis Axel.

I kinda want to become friends with Ricochet and Apollo just so I can turn on them too.

I’d love it if WWE let their wrestlers do Q&A’s in character to answer questions like this.

WWE only writes for their 'moments.' That's their thing. It's not about the journey, or the story, it's about those singular segments that are meant to stick in your mind, regardless of whatever was going on leading up to it. It's like when they revealed CA as being the masked janitor, which was presented almost as a sort of main-event coming out party for the guy... immediately after he'd lost the match. The facts are irrelevant as far as they're concerned, which is why the show is generally a confused and convoluted mess of contradictions and inconsistencies. Once you wrap your head around that, none of this will ever surprise you.

Lana and Natty are always on social media together so it's not that random and BOAT means Best Of All Times which is just Lana hyping Nattie up for her tenure and success in WWE. Keith and Drew also did a sparring thing that was on WWE's youtube channel before Summerslam and they have history outside WWE, so not that random again. Cedric explained his reasons fairly clearly on Raw. He was sick of being on the wrong end of the beat downs, was sick of teaming with a guy who got all the attention, and was sick of sacrificing his body for Apollo to get the title opportunities. MVP had been telling him to jump on the bandwagon and he finally did. As for why MVP wants him, he can tell Cedric has talent and needs proper guidance. I don't think this is some unreasonable story.

Nattie is the BOAT and Lana is the (escape) GOAT.

It’s not that big of a stretch. MVP took Shelton from a guy on Main Event to guy featured on Raw every week.
Alexander is a former CW champion, him and Ricochet have been in the tag title contention earlier this year. I hate WWE booking normally but this was fine and long over do.
If anything I would have done it at Payback when Shelton and MVP got involved Ricochet and Alexander run them off only Alexander to turn on Crews when the ref was distracted leading to a Lashley spear and the win,

So now that The Hurt Business have four members, let's do them vs. Undisputed Era at Survivor Series.

Nattie is the BOAT and Lana is the (escape) GOAT. *scapegoat. An escape goat is a very niche secret agent.

He’s getting him based on his potential. It happens all the time in real sports.

He’s getting him based on his potential. It happens all the time in real sports. Yep. Raw has a million issues. MVP's character taking in someone like Cedric is pretty far down the list. Actually makes a lot of sense, and makes MVP's character (and faction) look that much stronger if he's right about Cedric.

I thought it worked quite well because they've slowly built on it for months but subtly enough that it didn't have a big neon light around it, which is unusual for WWE. Then you could almost see the moment on RAW on Cedrics face's he went "f*** it" and turned on Ricochet and Apollo Crews. Then, to cap it off, they gave Cedric mic time, and he explained his motivation, and referenced *every one* of MVPs talking points from when MVP tried to recruit him the first time back in June, showing that this had been playing in his mind most of the summer.
WWE do a lot of things badly, but so far they've done The Hurt Business very well.
And MVP is a boss. None of the shocked or surprised looks we get from others in the past but a huge grin and a high face to Lashley, like "Told you my Iago shtick was going to work".

In Vince’s mind, the fans are only half the man that he is. And they have only half the brain that he does.
