I think outside the Austin Theory stuff, this was the best episode of NXT from beginning to end since the move to USA.

Another excellent NXT with every match having a purpose. Shotzi Blackheart VS Io Shirai was a fun opening match & was Blackheart’s best match in her NXT career. Desmond Troy, the re-named Denzel Dejournette, VS Tommaso Ciampa was a squash, but I did like Jake Atlas coming back for his revenge. The Finn Balor interview was good & different. Kushida VS Austin Theory was good, as Kushida continues to take out the accused wrestlers on the Speaking Out list. The Johnny Gargano & Candice LeRae segment was stupid. Breezango VS Imperium was an awesome match. Kayden Carter & Kacy Cantanzaro VS Jessi Kamea & Xia Li was a good match & I’m glad they are showcasing Women’s Tag Teams. The Tegan Nox promo was OK. Killian Dain & Drake Maverick VS The Undisputed ERA was more of an angle than a match. I like Ciampa attacking Jake Atlas and Kyle O’Reilly making the save. I like William Regal’s new match concept The Gauntlet Eliminator to determine Finn Balor’s Takeover challenger. It’s different than a normal Gauntlet Match. Damian Priest VS Timothy Thatcher was a fun hard-hitting match to close out the show.
Here are the Facts & Stats for NXT: - Shotzi Blackheart VS Io Shirai was Blackheart & Shirai’s 1st NXT since August 26, Blackheart’s 1st NXT opener since April 22, Shirai’s 1st NXT opener since July 29 & was Shirai’s 1st Singles Match on NXT TV since she defeated Tegan Nox on July 15, & since I already wrote this I won’t waste it, if Blackheart would have won, it would have been Shirai’s 1st Singles loss since she lost to Toni Storm by Disqualification on January 22 & her 1st ever loss by pinfall on NXT TV in her career - Desmond Troy VS Tommaso Ciampa was Ciampa’s 1st NXT since September 1 & was Troy’s 1st match since he competed as Denzel Dejournette in a loss to Timothy Thatcher on July 15 - Kushida VS Austin Theory was the 1st time since February 26 & March 4 that Theory wrestled 2 weeks in a row on NXT, Kushida’s 1st NXT since August 12, & his 1st win since he defeated Jake Atlas on NXT on May 6 - Breezango VS Imperium was the 8th NXT Tag Team Championship Match of 2020 & 1st since August 26, Tyler Breeze & Fandango’s 1st NXT match since September 1, Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel’s 1st NXT match since August 26, their 3rd match against each other, after NXT on June 17 & August 26, with Breezango winning 1 & Imperium winning 1 match, was Breezango’s 1st Title Defense, so therefore if they lost they would have been the 1st NXT Tag Team Champions since Moustache Mountain who lost to The Undisputed ERA on July 11, 2018 to lose their titles in their 1st Defense, & NXT marked Breezango’s 21st Day as Champions, so as of Midnight, they will beat Moustache Mountain’s 22 Days (6/19/18 – 7/11/18) as the shortest NXT Tag Team Title Reign, giving them the 2nd Shortest Reign of All-Time - Kayden Carter & Kacy Cantanzaro VS Jessi Kamea & Xia Li was Catanzaro’s 1st NXT since September 1, Carter’s 1st NXT since August 12, Kamea’s 1st NXT since August 19, Li’s 1st NXT since June 17, & was Carter’s 1st win since she defeated Aliyah on May 13 & was Catanzaro’s 1st win since she & Candice LeRae defeated Aliyah & Vanessa Borne on NXT on April 24, 2019, & was the 1st NXT since August 26 to have 2 Women’s Matches - Killian Dain & Drake Maverick VS The Undisputed ERA was the 1st time since September 19 & 25, 2019 that Dain wrestled 2 weeks in a row on NXT, the 1st time since June 24 & July 1 that Roderick Strong wrestled 2 weeks in a row on NXT, Maverick’s 1st NXT since August 26, Fish’s 1st NXT since August 5, Maverick’s 1st ever Tag Team Match on NXT, Dain’s 1st Tag Team Match since he & Alexander Wolfe lost to Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly at Worlds Collide on April 14, 2019 & his 1st on NXT TV since he & Eric Young lost the NXT Tag Team Championship to Fish & O’Reilly on December 20, 2017, & was the 1st time Fish & Strong teamed up since they lost to Breezango in a Triple Threat Match along with Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan on June 3, was Dain’s 1st win since he defeated Tehuti Miles on March 25, & was the 39th Disqualification of 2020, the 1st since Smackdown on September 11, & the 1st on NXT since May 20 - Damian Priest VS Timothy Thatcher was the 11th North American Championship Match of 2020 & 1st since Takeover 30 on August 22, Thatcher’s 1st NXT since September 1 & 1st main since July 29, Priest’s 1st NXT since August 12 & 1st main since April 29, was Priest’s 1st Title Defense, so therefore if he would have lost, he would have been the 1st North American Champion since Johnny Gargano who lost to The Velveteen Dream on NXT on February 20, 2019 to lose in his 1st Defense, & NXT marked Priest’s 24th Day as Champion, so later this week he will have the 2nd Shortest North American Title Reign, as Johnny Gargano had a 25 Day Reign (1/26/19-2/20/19)

I think outside the Austin Theory stuff, this was the best episode of NXT from beginning to end since the move to USA. I like how KUSHIDA's character the last 2 weeks has been violent Chris Hansen.

I think outside the Austin Theory stuff, this was the best episode of NXT from beginning to end since the move to USA. At least it was Kushida murdering Theory’s arm dead.

I'm going with Rhea Ripley winning the battle royal. One, there is a draft coming up soon, so this would be her "swan song" before getting called up to the main roster. And two, with Finn Balor likely defending his title against a "up-and-coming" Superstar, NXT needs a big-time match to main event the Takeover.
Rhea vs Io fits the bill.
My guess is that Candice & Tegan are going to eliminate each other(Tegan eliminates Candice; Candice comes back and distracts Tegan leading to her own elimination) And Rhea overcomes the odds and eliminates both Dakota & Raquel to win the #1 contendership.

I’m just watching..... Kyle O’Reilly killed me. After he confronts Ciampa, he asks Atlas if he’s ok and then just walks off saying, “yeah, alright, who cares”...... 😂😂😂
