Was it as simple as Big Show could have owned the entire company but wanted a title shot instead?
Would that make him the dumbest face in history?

Was this the time when Stephanie got confused about which giant she knew growing up?

Was this the time when Stephanie got confused about which giant she knew growing up? Yeah the fact that we were supposed to believe that Big Show was hanging out with little Stephanie despite them being around the same age is f***ing hilarious.

Remember when Stephanie was like, "You know, you're really tall so you'll probably be dead soon"?

I think the whole thing too was that he wanted no interference but then of course, the authority just distracted him and his dumb ass still lost đđ Miserable booking that would have tanked virtually anybody, even a literal giant

This pretty much jump started the in-kayfabe perception that their superstars were idiots, had no savings despite potentially making loads of money and had to beg their bosses for them to keep their jobs because if they were fired, they could do literally nothing else to support their families.
And they wonder why nobodyâs a star anymore.

As much as the Daniel Bryan part of this itself worked out in the end and made a beautiful moment, so much about The Autority and the creative directions it brought on were absolute f***ing misery we're still feeling the effects of years later.

Broke Big Show was some of the most unintentionally hilarious stuff that WWE has ever done.

And they wonder why nobodyâs a star anymore. They ran a similar angle a few years before where HBK somehow squandered all the money from BOTH stints as a top performer for the company and JBL was the only person that could help him out. Despite the fact that his best friend is one of the heirs to the entire company. That may have been a test run for this Big Show idiocy.

Isn't this around the time they tried to give the Yes chant to other people, inlcuding Big Show to try and prove that "Daniel Bryan isn't actually over... people just like to chant things"?

Didnât Big Show randomly drive a truck rig into the arena and start a yes chant once? Am I remembering that correctly?

And to think, the idea of an anti-WWE stable targeting the company for its corruption wouldâve worked as enemies of the Authority and not whatever the f*** theyâre doing with RETRIBUTION.

And to think, the idea of an anti-WWE stable targeting the company for its corruption wouldâve worked as enemies of the Authority and not whatever the f*** theyâre doing with RETRIBUTION. With one important difference, though; The Authority was never made to be thwarted. They just quietly and slowly fell out of focus and stopped doing shit. Who stopped WWE from running amok? Vince McMahon himself, popping up to say "Hey Shane's back, play nice". Nobody ever truly got one over on WWE in more than a minor one-day victory, and the unfortunate reality is, that's something that's stuck around.

I could at least buy that one easier since they haven't been shy about what a mess 90s HBK was, and he'd had the retirement and probably putting money into his church stuff, so that was easier, but this is a story that'd make way more sense with someone who had either been retired and recently come back, not BEEN back, or a rookie.
