Such a giant card. I have a feeling Escobar and Swerve are gonna steal the whole year of shows with this one.

Yeah, after tonight's NXT, I'm pretty confident in the following predictions (I'll include a reasoning for each)
Santos Escobar - He's gonna cheat. Him claiming he's honest is just good ol fashioned heel trickery.
KUSHIDA - Dream is way too much of a liability these days, and he is god awful in the ring as well.
Io Shirai - The fact that Johnny and Candice not only won tonight, but also posed with the titles and had pictures taken of them wearing said titles makes me think both Candice and Johnny are losing on Sunday. And they should. Especially if Survivor Series is going to be the brand supremacy stuff this year.
Damien Priest - See the answer for Io Shirai.
Finn Balor - He just won the title, and hasn't even had a match since winning it. No chance he drops it.
As for the mystery person, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's Ember Moon, who will attack Io after her match. She's been vocal about wanting to go back down to NXT and wrestle Io for the title.

Agreed on everything even down to the Ember Moon pick. Slight doubt over Candice, I'd have thought they'd move the title onto her for a short reign and program with Tegan, but obviously that's on ice for now. So I think Shirai gets at least a few more months before a call-up after the Rumble.

So I think Shirai gets at least a few more months before a call-up after the Rumble. See, I don't even think they had plans to do Candice/Tegan for the title any time soon either. I think they had to end up doing a bunch of changes due to COVID and Tegan's injury. Candice pretty much feels like a filler challenger. She has a serious lack of credibility, and both her character and promo work leave a lot to be desired. I went back to rewatch last night's stuff with her, and she felt really awkward delivering the lines during her promos (she didn't sound convincing at all), and felt a few steps off in the ring as well. I wouldn't be shocked if the battle royal winner was supposed to be someone different before the . And like I mentioned earlier, there's the wildcard aspect of Survivor Series hanging over the card as well. While it's very plausible Johnny could represent NXT as the NA Champion during the champion showcase match, I just can't see Candice being the woman representing NXT in the champion's showcase matches. She has very little credibility, and it would make the match result way too obvious, as it would indicate NXT would not be winning that match. Io feels like the biggest star in the NXT Women's Division right now, and her being relegated to the 5v5v5 match would be a complete mistake.

Can't really agree on Candice, I've mostly always enjoyed her work including recently - but you're right, there's no way Triple H wants to showcase anybody other than Io as his women's champion at Surivor Series.

Man this seems like a show they rushed to put together out of nowhere, and yet somehow it looks fantastic.

Man this seems like a show they rushed to put together out of nowhere, and yet somehow it looks fantastic. Really is a credit to the depth of the roster. You don't just throw a show like this together so quickly especially after your last big show unless you have got top tier talent and the fact that every match so far has the ability to be a MOTY candidate is proof of that depth. And this is a card that is leaving the likes of Adam Cole and Tomasso Ciampa off of it.

Glad KUSHIDA is getting a Takeover match, even if it's against someone who really shouldn't be on TV right now (and maybe not ever again).

They鈥檙e really playing up how much Cole is supporting Kyle. A little too much one thinks.

I'm unspeakably hyped for KOR vs Finn, to the point I know I'm gonna have too high expectations for it and feel let down even by a very good match.

All this good will Cole has been giving us, I think is just going to make him a bigger heel when the turn comes. Kyle and Cole is going to be a fun Blood Fued. Kyle ain鈥檛 winning this one. It鈥檚 not his time and it鈥檚 not Finn鈥檚 time to drop it. Finn/Kyle 2 will be the one.

Damn it, I just realized the Niners have Sunday Night Football. I love my guy Kyle O鈥橰eilly, but I know where my priorities lie. No live-thread for me.

I think the card looks damn good. Yeah pretty predictable (though so intriguing things could go down with the Draft starting next Friday), but you know great matches are going to go down. It like one of those NJPW shows were you know most of the winners, but still watch cause the wrestling is going to rule. I honestly find "it's too predictable" as an odd criticism for wrestling. Something might be predictable and have an obvious ending, but it's the journey to get there that is fun. Roman Reigns vs Jey Uso had an obvious result with Roman winning, but seeing the match to get to that ending was fantastic. There was no chance in hell Jey was winning. He just wasn't. So yeah, the winners might be "obvious" but the matches to get to that result are likely going to be amazing.

They have went so heavy handed with Cole turning that I have to believe what is really going to happen is we are getting a sort of UE civil war between Cole and O'reilly Vs Fish and shitty little boots.
And maybe by the end they come back together in time to head to the main roster.
The show should be absoloute fire the level of talent in every match is ridiculous.
