Now that some states are opening up and more live shows are happening, which wrestlers have been able to keep their name out there? Not let their momentum die down?
Also, I hate to have negatives but it would be interesting to hear if anyone looked posed to breakout before this but now seems to have disappeared. Unfortunately I think with some guys not working live events for months this must’ve happened.
I know Warhorse did great. He’s one of those indie guys that campaigned for a match with Cody...and he actually got it! He’s doing matches again since July too. Not nearly as much as he was but still he’s definitely keeping his name out there.
Another one seems to be Danhausen. He’s wrestled less than Warhorse having only had 4 matches since March. But a big part of his gimmick has always been his YouTube schtick so he found a way to keep the momentum going.

Yeah, those are definitely two guys who have made good use of the internet to keep their names out there. Hell, Warhorse is even doing seminars for indie wrestlers to try to teach them how to make the most of their social media, etc.

The ones who either had some money saved or could work a day job until the industry started a recovery.

There is no other dude in the business who has somehow ended up on both main WWE and AEW programming and end up not even needing to be signed by either.

Shoutout to the female wrestlers who started OnlyFans accounts during the pandemic to leverage wrestling fans to pay to see them naked.
That's legit f***ing genius.

All of the ones who've scored a gig in AEW, being a Jobber to the Stars on Dark and getting to be ringside for every Dynamite. Some, like Will Hobbs and Ben Carter, are breaking out as well.

Shout-out to the Big Dogs Andrew Everett, Courtney Rush, and Dino Winwood for starting W3, a simmed wrestling show on Twitch using Fire Pro as the base. Really, everyone who has been streaming have been doing great, but they've really gone outside the box with producing a twice-weekly show with storylines, promos, and even "original" characters (everyone in the fed are based on the wrestlers in WCW Vs The World, WCW/nWo World Tour and Revenge, but they've also created their own versions of wrestlers with made up names). I'm really proud of the work they've put into this.

How about Calvin Tankman, who made his GCW debut on their first show back from the pandemic, and just blew the f*** up? Now, he's one of the hottest big men in the scene, and got monster ovations every time he performed on The Collective.
