Figured I'd better make this thread given I'm such a stat head.
The only real fresh angle I can put on this given that Bayley is so far ahead on both the individual reign record and combined reigns record (over 500) for this belt is where she now stacks up all-time across the four major main roster women's singles belts (first Women's belt, Divas belt, RAW Women's belt and SD Women's belt). As things stand, she's now 5th on that list behind [REDACTED], Trish Stratus, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch with a combined time of 581 days as champion.
It's an incredible turnaround for Bayley given where she was in 2017/2018.

and my thoughts on this reign can pretty much be summed up...
it's gone on for way to long... and really only managed to bury most of the roster

One of the more infuriating title reigns in recent memory
She has gone through about 3 character changes in this title run and you can argue she should have lost the title at least 2-3 times. Even if they would had put the title back on her, getting the title off her would have done some good
From MITB to about December she was just a lame duck champion. From Jan-April/May she hit her stride as the sarcastic champion and was really one of the best things going in this pandemic era. To her and Sasha credit when Becky/Charlotte went on the shelf they stepped up big time
But yeah, outside of the 2-3 days Charlotte was champ, she has held the title damn near a year and a half. Add on the Horsewomen dominance as well.
The last non Asuka/Horsewoman champ was Ronda Rousey in August 2018.

It's astounding how this title reign completely ran out of places to go and things to do around February and yet it's still going eight months later.
Doesn't help that I think heel Bayley makes for consistently terrible television to begin with.

I like Bayley a lot, but I do think that this probably should end much sooner than later, even if Sasha needs to figure out how to be remotely sympathetic as a face.

Would have given Sasha and Bayley some much needed comeuppance, and this title run wouldn't be so f***ing stale.

It’s been an odd reign in that it’s been just about 18 months yet on the whole it didn’t do much for her opponents (especially the initial face phase where crowds dug her cash-in then basically stopped caring for mediocre feuds with Alexa/Nikki and Ember Moon, the former even including a clean handicap win) and only a few months of it have felt worthwhile, basically all after they stopped having live crowds. The other thing to bear in mind is that this monster reign also included a period as double-champion.

Surely there would have been better wrestlers to invest on during all of this reign of terra. Not hating, just saying.

These really long reigns work when they're infrequent, not when they're the standard. WWE only lives in extremes where the title is either getting hotshotted and pingponged, or it's being held onto by someone long past their sell-by date

Adam Cole is the only one that made sense to be champ for a year What really helped Cole, is that he and the rest of UE are generally just giant dorks in segments. So it's not him being dominant, and getting away with everything. They kick ass in the ring, but outside the ring they'll look like fools constantly.

Oh, I knew the WWE didn’t talk about her anymore but I didn’t know they’d redacted her Well, there hasn't been any official thing per se short them dropping her name from the WM battle royal just as they'd added it. You know, because of public outcry from the stories of... her pimping out her trainees for money.

I'm still really enjoying the Bayley reign. She's been a very consistent week-in week-out promo, the Sasha slow burn was good and her match against Kairi is my current WWE TV match of the year.
She's really thrived in the pandemic, and I love her talking back to the commentators whom she can hear.

I wish WWE didn't acknowledge Moolah's pre-1984 title reigns.

Doesn't help that I think heel Bayley makes for consistently terrible television to begin with. They spent most of her reign building to a feud with Sasha that nobody was asking for anymore because they teased it into oblivion about 2 years ago. Along the way, every defense was a foregone conclusion and nobody, she beat came out looking anything but worse than they did going in
