I'm 43 now and while I can't complain too much as I can still get around okay, there are certain days I realize that I'm not the young whippersnapper I once was. The worst thing about getting old is logging into your social media and seeing all the "LOL OLD PEOPLE SUCK, WHY CAN'T THEY ALL JUST DIE ALREADY?" crap that gets shoved into your feed. That is why there is mute and block options. But never see that on my feed.

Yea when did Gen X=Boomers? Don't they teach these kids anything in school anymore. I did tell my father Ok Boomer 2 weeks ago,but he is a legit baby boomer LOL.

Hit 30 last year. Started getting arthritis by 20, midway I had to get surgery on my spine. I don't even recall waking up with nothing aching at this point.

I was diagnosed with arthritis in my early to mid 20s, and thyroid issues not long after that. started having issues with lactose around 30. It suuuucked but with Lactaid, I'm generally ok.

This sounds like it may be a health problem rather than age. I can handle a donut, slurpee and sugar in general very well in my late 30s. A 26 year old shouldn't normally have a problem like that.

Generally I would say after 25 is when you to start to really realize certain shit you liked or could do starts to not be as easy a task
Before 25, I could drink all night and bounce up early in the morning like it didn't happen
Since then, give me a few hours.

Getting older wasn’t bad until I hit 40 this past May. Then it was like life literally flicked a switch and my knees went.
My back did go last summer and my shoulder about 12 years ago but the knees have been much worse.

The worst part of getting old to me is what Grandpa Simpson said, suddenly what I was with wasn't "it" anymore. And what was "it" seemed scary (or more like weird and confusing in my case).
I can't tell you the number of times people on this board made pop culture references to things I know nothing about. Especially music. Every time one of today's top musicians makes the news it is literally the first time I've heard of them.
Although, now that I look back on it I don't think I was ever with "it", even in my 20's.

At 37 let me assure you, you’re the furthest thing from old. Hell, neither am I! You haven’t even sniffed your best years yet. Your 30s are infinitely more fun than your 20s. Fix that mindset and enjoy it while you can. I'm in my 30s. When does the fun start?

It's either two things, either a phase or maybe what was it aged terribly with time.

I just turned 38. I drank too much over the weekend. Today the two ends of me are going to be hurting a lot.

I'm just about two months away from 36. Last night, I enjoyed a whole pizza, cheesy bread and chicken from Domino's during Hell in a Cell. Today, I think I hate myself lol I'm also dreading my doctor's appointment next week.
To the OP, I have a good friend who is in her late twenties. When her 25th birthday was approaching, she joked to me that her life was over. Oh, the crap I gave her for that haha

32. Sometime I feel 5, sometimes I feel 68. Anytime I get whatever about my age I remind myself how much worse being young can be.
Also a slurpee and a donut? 😮

I would just like to say I hate this OK boomer bullshit. If you don't listen to advice of someone who has more experience at life than you and at least take it into consideration, you are a complete moron.

Or people from older generations are more disconnected to how life is now for the younger generations compared to when they were young adults, and their experience is much less meaningful than it used to be. Besides if baby boomers weren't f***ing condescending shitbags to millennials and Gen Z and aren't on average a lot more dismissive about mental health problems compared to Gen X and younger, "OK boomer" would've never happened.
