Dark Order needs a woman counterpart to John Silver.

Anna Jay is cool and all and she has good chemistry with the others, but it also kinda falls too far into the “women are more sensible and wise” thing you see in some ensemble casts or every other sitcom.

Really, DO needs more girls. The hyper focus on Anna as the lone woman and being super special feels kinda Smurfette-ish. Plus, Baker shouldn’t have to be the only crazy character in the AEW women’s division (I don’t count Abadon as she’s more of a monster).

Why can’t we see a female Dark Order member acting as absurd and stupid as the rest of them?

On BTE They've had a few good segments with Kris Statlander playing the foil to Silver/D.O., I hope we get more of that.

I wonder what happened with the Tay Conti thing. Honestly though, we need Brodie Lee to make his comeback first. Let’s see what they do with him first now that he’s lost the gold. If it’s underwhelming and if they don’t bring him back HOT, then I would rather they just keep Tay on her own.

If they were to hire someone new for it who is suited to this style of character...I dunno who would be a great fit. Solo Darling maybe? Ashley Vox and Delmi Exo seem like they would be the strongest candidates, but with a potential Dark Order tag team, Diamante & Ivelisse, and the ease of giving Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero a tag partner, Vox & Exo seem like they should be hired to shore up the babyface side of things. (Which AEW is sorely, sorely lacking right now.)

But then again - the Dark Order seems to be less about bringing in defined personalities, and more about putting blank slate workers in with veteran character workers to let them grow. I think that Silver is less the person to emulate than Alan Angels. Even Anna Jay often feels like she is in the BTE sketches to get over some stage fright - she's started sounding more assured with each speaking appearance, spending less and less time sitting in the background above everyone, etc. KiLynn King might be the best option in that case, or Skyler Moore.

the last time Tay Conti was on TV, Anna Jay was literally in the crowd clapping for her and cheering her on.
She wasn't carrying around a clipboard that read "CONTRACT TO JOIN DARK ORDER" or anything on it, but I really don't see that as them dropping the angle

KiLyn King is literally nicknamed "The Queen of Crazy", and her size contrast to Silver would be hilarious in itself because she's quite tall.

I've always wondered what about Anna bothered me (as I'm in the minority it seems as someone that just doesn't care for her),
and I think that's it.

She's supposed to be super special, but why?
Brodie holds her in esteem above everyone else, but why?

They can do better than that.

There's a reason Silver is hated by Brodie. There's a reason that 5 wears a bad wig.
Give me some kind of reason for Anna other than being the only woman and nothing else.

It's weird and also delightful that Dark Order has had a shift to a place where Dani Jordyn became arguably the most logical wrestler to join it.

i love anna jay and stu grayson's interactions on BTE. he's this angry crazy "i want to kill you" type around the others (except brodie) then as soon as ann jay shows up he's all "yes ma'am, don't hurt me ma'am" while she bullies him constantly.

they did have another tayjay bit on BTE a couple episodes back where tay was chatting with jurassic express then anna came over to drag her away and yelling at luchasaurus to "hit on someone his own age." seems like Tay is being set up for more of the "token good teammate" spot than a more zany one.

statlander trying to kill reynolds and silver all the time is pretty funny though.

I'm not against them adding more females but I'm fine with the way it is. I personally think it's cool that the sole female in the group is the only one as tough and intimidating as Brodie Lee.
