The guy has been blamed for just about everything that went wrong in that company from 89-92, so if nothing else, it should be an interesting listen.

Thank goodness its not a call in show.
Conrad: Well, here's the problem Jim in terms of calls we've had 3 death threats, 4 filled with insulting expletives, and one that's just someone reading WCW's money losses when you were in charge.
Herd: I bet one of those was Jim Cornette.
Conrad: That's not true.
Herd: Really?
Conrad: They were all Jim Cornette.

Jim Herd is still alive? That's what shocks me.

Jim Herd is still alive? That's what shocks me. Shockingly, he's only 81. I would've guessed he was much older now based on his appearance back then.

That’s actually a pretty big coup considering the historical implications of his reign as WCW President.

I hope Conrad asks him about the Ding Dongs and Spartacus.

I hope Conrad asks him about the Ding Dongs and Spartacus. What about The Candyman?

I hope Conrad asks him about the Ding Dongs and Spartacus. I actually kind of hope he doesn't, because that's such low-hanging fruit and has been gone over ad nauseum. Sadly that's what I expect this interview to be considering how little knowledge Conrad actually has of wrestling history.

Yeah, I’m gonna pay for that... Don't fret, this episode has a "30 minutes or less, or it's free" special.

Over the years I've heard many people say "Jim Herd this" and "Jim Herd that" but my real question is: What did Jim really hear?

I doubt it gets brought up but 2 of Bischoff's big moves (signing away WWF talent, doing TV Live) were actually things Herd wanted to do in but Jack Petrik wouldn't let him spend the money, one of the stories going around back then was that Herd would arrange meetings with Randy Savage and Roddy Piper but the offers to them would wind up being less than they were making in the WWF.
I don't think Herd would remember much about them 30 years later but I'd love to hear about how he went about getting the licensing and sponsor deals because it was the one thing he was really good at.

For decades all we've heard of his tenure are horror stories from people like Flair who are blameless saints in every situation, even the ones they absolutely weren't, so getting Herd's side of things after all these years should be interesting.

Jim Ross did go to bat for Herd a few times in the Rise and Fall Of WCW

I mean, he was horrible Administrator, but he's also a human being with a perspective. Could he have a comeback? I know NXT is explotliting the IP, maybe they bring him in?
And isn't Flair related to Conrad? I wonder if they will clear the air. It's been 30 years.

They can be minor questions held until the end?

I'd like to hear Jim Herd just unload on Ric Flair and Jim Cornette "You wanna hear about Flair and Cornette? Well, how easy do you think it is to work with a world champ who always threatened to leave for the competition ( and then took the belt with him) and a little lord Fauntleroy that always screams death threats at you?"
