Hitz & Mrs.:
Todd “Hitz” Hitzges is a tough as nails NHL enforcer. His wife, Monica, is a whip smart homemaker. He drops gloves and she fills their home with love. But while he may be a bully on the ice, at home he better make nice or he might find himself back in the penalty box.

Okay, I got one.
A former MLB player becomes a housekeeper for a divorced advertising executive. They trade barbs at first, but start to fall in love. But they don't want to admit their feelings to each other, so they date other people. But as the show goes on, their attraction continues to grow.
Oh shit, wait. That's "Who's the Boss?".
Ah well....

One I've had in my head for years (and probably would've worked as a syndicated show in the mid-to-late 80's):
"Down in the Boondocks"
Based on the 60's song by Billy Joe Royal, this would be the story of a working-class man trying to date his well-to-do bosses' daughter and all the goings on of the haves and have-nots.

I mentioned it before, but SCSA as a sitcom dad in a Full House style show.
Every episode he finds a chance to say "and that's the bottom line" so the studio audience can say "cause stone cold says so!" while he chugs two beers.

A group of has-been rockers are now all living at the same homeless shelter, which is on the verge of shutdown unless they can win big on the local bowling tournament scene.
Bowling for Soup starring Bowling for Soup.

Bowling for Soup starring Bowling for Soup. I think they've all got day jobs. Denton County is neither cheap nor sympathetic to the homeless, they could not be shooting music videos on a bowlers salary there.

Slightly off topic, but TGIF related. We use to play this game called real life or full house. You’d tell a story and then people need to decide if it’s a real story or a full house plot.
A comedian friend of mine told a great story. He had been working on his stand up routine for a while. He was finally going to hit the stage before his big night. Just before he went on stage, Phylis Diller, out of nowhere, wanted to go up and do her routine. Needless to say she killed it and the crowd loved. Phylis Diller stole his thunder!
Real life or full house?
It’s from an episode of full house

A recently divorced couple must continue to share 50/50 ownership of their working gym. Episodes follow their daily struggles to work together to keep their fledgling business from going under due to competition and coparent their shared children. Characters include their daughter and fellow employees.
Can they make it all work? This Fall, Brian Austin Green and Courtney Cox star in “No Sweat”
