My copy of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for PS2 cost $153. Worth it. Then, the closest thing to that is my copy of Def Jam Vendetta at $38.

PAL versions of Suikoden I and II tend to go for a pretty penny, moreso II. NTSC US version of Suikoden II is up there, too. I think the PAL version eclipses it in overall value, but the US version still regularly goes for triple digits.

Chrono Trigger for SNES is definitely my most valuable, picked it up at a pawn shop for $10 about 18 years ago. Think it goes for around $150 USD now. Second would be Wind Waker/Ocarina Master Quest which is around $125 USD

Unless its a choice between paying bills and food, all my video games are most valuable when I get to play them.

Since the pandemic prices have retro games have gotten insane. I collect Nes and Snes and prices are stupid now. Can’t go pick up some old common nes games anymore without people thinking they are a damn goldmine. No. I will not give you 20 bucks for Mario and duck hunt.
That being said my most expensive a are probably my Chrono trigger CIb and final Fantasy 2 CIB.

for PS2 I have MVC 2, Def Jam Fight For NY and Vendetta and Futurama tend to go for a lot on eBay Glad I still have only 2/3 of those games. Futurama is kind of an interesting one because while I don't have the game, I remember renting it at Hollywood Video. I did not think it was that rare.

20 years ago or so I spent much of my free time browsing pawn shops and such to get old games for cheap... Most of the pawn shops in my area sold NES and SNES games for about 3 bucks each.
I think my most valuable game is Clay Fighters: Sculptor's Cut (N64), but Rule of Rose (PS2, CIB) seems pretty up there too. I also have a complete copy of Donkey Kong Jr Math for NES, but the box is literally smashed and taped back up so I'm not sure how that hurts its value.
I have a handful of mediocre but surprisingly valuable NES games (Wacky Races, Wayne's World, Fire 'n Ice, Kid Klown, Stack Up, etc.), Mega Man for Game Gear, some SNES gems (Wild Guns, Ninja Warriors, Spike McFang, Chrono Trigger, Pocky & Rocky, etc.). And Suikoden II and Tron Bonne for PS1. Also Chibi Robo and Fire Emblem Path of Radiance for GCN. I also own what is apparently the most valuable regular US Wii game in Dokapon Kingdom.
There are many more, for sure, but those are some of the highlights.

I think the most valuable game I own is a CIB copy of Batman: Return of the Joker for the NES.

A friend of mine owns a copy of Hagane for SNES. He said that his ex got it for him as a gift. I had read that that game was a rental-exclusive at Blockbuster and probably sold when Blockbuster was selling their SNES inventory. He got really lucky.

Given my sizeable collection of video games, I have many games that fetch a mighty price. These are ones I can think of off the top of my head: Kuon (PS2) - I paid $80 for this title back in 2016. It's now fetching eye-watering prices between $250 (loose) and nearly $700 (CIB). I can't even. The Misadventures of Tron Bonne (PS1) - $20 from Amazon in 2004. Now it fetches nearly $300. Chrono Trigger (SNES) - Complete with box and all the goodies Power Blade 2 (NES) - Only a loose cartridge. But god damn is it an expensive one. Albert Odyssey (Saturn) - Now if only I had Panzer Dragoon Saga and Shining Force III. Cannon Spike (Dreamcast) - Criminally Underrated Arcade/DC game that most people won't get to play lest you want to fork over over $200. Jaguar CD - Not a game per say but probably the most expensive console/add-on in my collection. I paid $35 for it back in 2017. CIB with the include pack in games, Tempest Music CD and Myst Demo. Oh and it was working as well. If that's not valuable, I don't know what is.

I would need to go through my collection but from the top of my head, I own Conker Bad Fur Day for N64, the great giana sister for the DS, a sealed copy of the greatest hit version of Spyro The Dragon for PS1 and a Vectrex.
